Chicks are doing that now to protect their privacy. I guess people is getting stalked off of myspace. If the profile is a certain age or younger, it makes it private and you can't search for it. Therefor, viewing it can only be accomplished if you are a friend.

try using a program called Cabos (mac and PC compatible). Hasn't given me any problems on either OS yet and I've been running it for several months. Free program, Java based.
