:fyi: folks.. Saw a used 8053 go for $450 on ebay today. those that have them.... hold onto them!

maybe a less fruity font? as far as the driver goes.. maybe we could all insert our favorite one from the companies who reside here and use that one as an outline of the logo. and to the guy with only one post: we dont need a different screen. We'll just have to keep it all one color to prevent that. Just some thoughts.

Using the BLA with the 8053 is supposed to eliminate ALL ground interference. I toyed with the idea of going with an indash DVD unit.. but I had trouble finding something that gave me the control I have with the 8053. I'll never sell.

you may not need the fan depending on how much you drive it. Most pro amps only trigger the fan under heavy load or high current mode (2 ohms or less). For HT useage... I doubt you'll ever come close to triggering the fan.

Yeah.. I don't know how I feel about using them in Car Audio. I have no problem using them in the pro audio/recording relm... but they are VERY senstive. I don't see how using them in a car is very smart. Especially when the constant vibration will change how they sound.
