  1. on a side note. id be WAY more careful about your REM lead. those amps\crossover might pull a bit of current in a spike some day, and fry the rem line in your HU. get a relay. you really need one.

  5. im saving my money right now. i cant wait to scoop this. now. ill need to find somone to trade me 1500w@1ohm (.33 stable for burps) for 1000~1500w@2 ohm
  6. yea, with that distro block with the weird nut thing. you strip the wire a bit longer, shuv it thru the hole, then bend the strands back over the end, then screw it in. personally, i like the set screw because it feels like more metal is touching metal... but thats just mee.
  7. anything you have on hand. putty will probably be eaiser. bondo you might already have. maybe some resin mixed with sawdust. not a big deal. hell, maybe use expandable foam, and then use sandpaper to cut down whatever you dont need, and then putty over that?
  8. i thought you had a proto? are there no pictures?

keep the burns - get rid of the rest, cut the hair. i had long hair and a beard- i looked like a child molester.
  10. WELCOME BACK MIKE
  11. I'm using 3/4oz. mat so the ability of it to hold it's place while soaked with resin was something I was worried about. Gravity works against you when glassing vertically or upside down. An easy stretch of the grill cloth provided a solid base in which to apply additional layers without fear of them "falling" or "sliding" out of place leaving a potential hole and more invested time. There's always a reason to my madness. Experience will help you a lot. You will learn what not to do when you make a mistake and plan for that accordingly next time you do work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> id probably of just gotten the glue gun out, put a little glue down on the wood at the top, maybe a few drips in the middle, then stuck it on and glassed over it. i dunno i got ~4oz. and i got some 24 and 30oz matte so i gotta buy some more resin. soaks it up like a mofo.
  12. x2 on the day pics!
  13. so why didnt you just glass the sides instead of stretchin them? did you just forget before you pulled it out? lol lookin good so far. them amps are sexy as hell. i hope to god you are going to glass amp racks as well as steath-face subs.

    hi
  18. i wish i could get in on the testing. but i dont think ill have time to do it such a sexy driver too. hell. i dont know if it would be leaving my house
  19. ok. i dont look at this thread for like two weeks and its 11 pages long. if my car gets off its feet and stuff starts to happen. id love to test that sucker out... but i may end up shipping an AV15 to the next person shipping would be retarded tho... damn i need to work on my car.
  20. i did. its ALWAYS good to have a relay, what if you wanted to hook up somthin that needs 12v?
  21. from what ive inquired from my research, it would pull your soundstage BACKward toward the middle of the car (imagine where the soundwaves meet eachother - like two waterhoses spraying at eachother and you in the middle) when your at a rock concert, do you want the bass\drums from behind you and the guitar\vocal\symbols in front? or a rap concert where the DJ is mixing (with his speakers) behind you, and the rapper is in front with his speakers? i dont think so - its most certainly possible and will produce the frequencies you ar elooking for... but i dont think it will go along ANY lines that of real sound qulaity. and yes, the subs can seriously cause posative pressure in the boot of your car - specially if the seats are up. ever see the videos of kids TRUNKS and DOORS flexing open? imagine a speaker being pushed like that while the coil keeps warming up from the electricall energy->heat that cant be cooled off by the movement of the cone. you would want to construct some kind of sealed box (at least i would) BUT YOU CAN do this. how good will it sound? i dont know. ive never done it. if i were you, id try to get them in the doors and put the components in the kick panels.
  22. can i have two or four?? i have $40 SS credit.
  23. i used to have a caravan. thing sucked so bad. the pistons shot thru the engine wall. GUZZELED oil too. but damn. should be a LOUD fecking minivan.
  24. so, whats your ideas for the names? and why no claws :*( from what i heard about the previous mags' - they kicked serious ass, and your telling us these are 'better in every aspect'? must be some seriously sick drivers if you claim them to be that good how about "howitzer" or "mortar" if you are going to stickw ith the gun\weapon terminology... or if you wanna go with the 'best' terminology - maybe "monolith"?
