  1. ok, this was something scott and i was talking about... we figured it would work because of the location of the mids and their aiming. they are going in the doors, about even with the midrange, well, a little higher, and they will be aimed across the truck and up. do you think that will work? kicker doesn't make a 6 channel, so that's what i have to work with. i'm not running three amps either, because of where they are going. comeon, help me out. i'm probably starting this around wednesday. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. sup ppls? back from the run...and it was a blast!! lots of pics, and a couple of vids, but i gotta resize them first. remember somewhere i said like 100 bikes?? well, i was a bit off....more like 1000 bikes. some sweet ones too! anyway, it was good..12hrs in the saddle. no titties though...too cold and wet in the morning and then the wifey was with me the whole time in the afternoon. oh well, can't wait to do it again next year! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. hmmmm... dodge ram....get the 12...you've got the room! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. round defeats the prupose of physically fitting, plus, we just got the cvx's in, so i haven't had a chance to hear them. but i really enjoy the 06 L7's... dull mids huh? care to ellaborate on your install? i'm going for quite a bit of presence with these myself, hence them getting 400+wrms. dunno if i'm going to seal or port them yet, if airspace allows, probably ported somewhere's around 75-80hz.....maybe...lol.... i hope it turns out as nice in reality as it is in my head.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. don't be..it's just jango.... we'll get it worked out. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. elias..wassup bro? anyway, fixing to head out for the gypsy rendevous. the drag racing outa be sweet. ahdra..here we come!!! maybe there's a street class? nah...i'm not wearing a full face helmet all day today. it's bad enough missouri has a helmet law as it is and i gotz to wear a lid. oh well.... till later folks.... elias, pm me if it's important bro! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. first...welcome to the forum bro!! ok... i've owned teh old xxx and still own the rl-p, kinda tell ya something? anyway, it's like this. the rl-p is underrated, but it won't hold the power the xxx will. is it weaker? no, it makes up for it in other areas. the most power i would recommend for a 12" rl-p is about 1200wrms. does it need it? nope. 5-750 would be perfect. box is going to determine alot of what your sub achieves. go sealed, shoot for around 1-1.25ft^3. ported, aim a bit bigger, 1.5-2ft^3 with a minimum of 25in^2 of port (if you slot port it) tuned from 28-34hz. we'll help ya out if ya need it. amp, well, anything from about 1500wrms to around 2000wrms will be perfect for the rl-ps. too lazy at the moment to look things up..pm flakko about a USAmp. warranty is one year IIRC. customer service is beyond anything you'll ever experience online again. mike is that good. h2h with an xxx, the rl-p got lower and damn near as loud. it took a larger ported box for the xxx to compete on the down lows. even then the rl-p stood it's ground. double kicks to test tones, the rl-p was right with or ahead of the old xxx. it's power handling and the potential to get loud is where the xxx was a bit better sub. but that's not taking anything away from the rl-p, lol, they'll get silly loud. a pair is just awesome. are they worth $450? you bet your ass they are!! and a pair will thump many a sub out there that costs 4 times as much. again, welcome to the board bro!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. when you factor in warranty, customer service and the ability to play music, it's a no brainer.... the diamond easily thumps eDuh.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. ands with that... hey jimbo!! i'm out!!!! *poof* wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  13. how's it going good ppl of the IHoP?? i had a very nice, relaxing day for a change. the old lady and i got on the scoot this morning about 8:30 and didn't get home till about 3. 70mph hasn't felt so good... tomorrow is going to be much of the same.... get up at 5:30..on the scoot at 6:30, registartion and gone by 8:15..nice scenic ride with about 100 (or more) fellow bikers to st.louis where we will watch the ahdra drag racing finals!! hells yes! oh yeah, willie g davidson will be along for the ride. horsepower, tits and famous ppl! throw in a beer or two (riding, gotta stay cool) and tomorrow will be heaven on earth! i can't fuckin wait!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. I was going to get one but they were to expensive Id say its 2nd best in mainstream companies to the memphis belle. i'm about to find out..lol.. i love the belle, and the 7005 is stonger on the high end, but a bit weaker on the sub side compared to the little belle, which should make it perfect as the sub channel will be pushing the midbass drivers. steve, aaron...the new L7's ARE that much better. it's a complete difference. dunno why, but they are. that's kinda what prompted me to do this. i mean, i'm completely gutting everything..lol..gonna be fun!!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. alright!! someone to keep him in line!! but for real, welcome sister!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. x2 on the gear..i think we need gear!! caps and shirts bro..work shirts too!! i sport a few! also, other then offering some of the finest subs on the planet, what's the most rewarding part? does the ego getting built play a role in staying in the game? big question here...why go so far above and beyond in the customer service? so many companies do just fine offering a halfassed approach, yet yours is very personal. i don't think, i know i have yet to read anything bad about responding to emails, or an issue with a sub, anything. as you grow, how much harder does it get to keep up with that level of satisfaction? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. anywho.. i'm out...booty calls!! i have to answer the call of booty!! peace!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. why are people stupid? i hate people. i do. i can't stand them. especially the really ignorant bastards who get weak minded people to follow them. and when you call them on it, they try to change up the arguement so as to deflect their stupidity away from the discussion. and then get overtly defensive when you call them on that weak ass bullshit. case in point..... i installed 2 pair of memphis sq's in the front doors of an escalade. in the rears went a pair of syncs. these were powered by a memphis pr 100.4. in the back went four 15" memphis mojo's off a pair of hifonics bx1605d's. this was a week ago. yesterday i installed a pair of , are you ready? 8 wrms pa speakers, gold plated. yep, little loud speakers things. this truck sounded good all the way up until then. why? because another moron with three of them sayd that's what they do up north and it sounds good. you can hear the voices.... WHAT? all you can hear is distortion. sure you can hear voices, but it isn't clear. and this truck sounded pretty damn good until you convinced him he needed 4 of them things (we talked him into just using two). how did he respond? by dogging the way my truck looks. WTF does that have to do with the conversation? my truck sounds a shit ton better then both of their trucks and i have no amp or subs. just a clarion h/u and memphis speakers. but at least they are clear. stupid sumbitch best be glad he's a customer of a friend. arrogant POS needs bitched slapped back up north. stupid cocktalker wouldn't know sq if it stuck 6ft of crystal clear sound up his ass. god i should have pounded his bitch ass. le ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGHHH i hate stupid people. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

lol, elias is right..i HATE the crayola cone. they suck. but hey, whatever works..lol... i'm really liking the carbonfiber cone on the mclass, alot! pwrbass..i not only install memphis but have owned jsut about everything memphis sells. i've ran pr subs, hpo's m3's...pr componets, mclass and sq's...and love the amps. not a thing wrong with memphis, i firmly believe the pr is the absolute best bang for buck sub on the market, period. but nothing memphis has is like the rl-p. the m3 tries, but doesn't do it. to me, all memphis subs, save the mclass, are just about getting loud. and they do that. but he rl-p is about getting loud and sounding awesome doing it. the m3 just doesn't quite make it to rl-p status. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. yep...i have decided upon amps... zx7005: will power the ss componets off the front channels, a pair of 5.25 coaxils off the rear and the sub channel will push the rmb 8's as midbass. zx2005 will push either 4 8L7's or 4 10L7's. still trying to figure out the space issue. kicker hyperflex wiring will replace all wiring in the truck. hopefully actual build time will start next week. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. wow... it's not over for RE. they have a very solid reputation. they will hurt a bit, but like RF, JL and such, people will want the product regardless of price because of name. me? i could care less. i thought RE was all about hype after getting my XXX. it definitely wasn't what it was hyped up to be. and Dave didn't like it getting a soso review either. he's no mike or nick. ascendant, SI, and SS are still here for diy. and SI and SS have products that more then hold their own against Adire, RE, Jl or whomever you want to mention. ( i say nothing about ascendant becuase i've not heard their product) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. lol..nice bro! somehow, that's how i pictured you...lol... ok, i have more questions, but currently can't think straight. no surprise there. but i will ask as my brain starts to function. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. i'm outa here folks..time for work, and i'm late. but a quick ramble... nah.. fuck it. i'm n a bad mood..better go take a ride and chill out a bit. peace bro's (and sister) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. very clean, very nice! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

then why is it every time someone asks about them that's the first reply given? are they geared towards spl? no. they are a true sql sub. in most applications, they are geared towards the sq side, but htey have tossed up nice numbers. will 4 rl-p15's get you a 160? dunno. will they be louder then your m3's? more then likely. i own a 12" rl-p and install memphis stuff all day. i'll say this. the rl-p will hold twice the power. 500-600wrms is all the m3 really wants(i'm sure some have thrown more at them, but i know from experience that they won't like more then 500 for long.), the rl-p just gets going. all the way up to about 1200wrms for the rl-p. i wouldn't throw 1200 at a m3. to me, the m3 is a competitor to the rl-i. the mojo is where you'd have to go to compete with the rl-p. and while the mojo can handle more power then the rl-p, there isn't a real chance in hell it'll sound better. get the rl-p's. you'll like them! and if you did a 159.9 with the m3's on your meter, i'd wager you'll break the 160 mark with the rl-ps. but that depends upon power, enclosure and such..drop in? i think the rl-ps will still be louder. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
