  1. the thing was, i'm not saying LMT is better then xbl oor vice versa. what i was saying was that on a sub on paper is one thing. a sub in a real world application is another. and to base a comment like xbl>LMT until one has heard both side by side is ,well, premature. i have owned a xbl^2 driver and in all honesty (and it's well known) found it very overhyped. my underhung driver sounded better IMO, (i know what ppl say about wanting some THD in their music, so a standard sub will sound "warmer") both in clarity and transient response. was it? i don't know, i don't have the equipment to check. but it for sure kept up in output, got lower sealed as well as ported. so to me, xbl^2, while nice, isn't the end all for subs. not yet anyway. and it might very well turn out to be true that xbl> LMT. but until i hear one side by side, i will reserve judgement. and i think all ppl should, even if ur some super geek techno t/s parameter quasi junkie. because what it says on paper isn't necessarly what happens in car. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. post 4 in a row...good old fashioned wh0ring!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. happy father's day to all the dads here!! i'm going to six flags over st. louis today as part of my father's day!! mr.freeze, batman and ninja...here i come!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  5. elias...will get picks of the suv as soon as it's mine...though this one has a few dings they are going to have to fix, or they'll have to find us another just like it. and it's blue. we are now breeding pit bulls with the razors edge bloodline. they also have choclate city and throwin knuckles in them. soon we'll have boudrol (spell?) in there...all these are thick chested, wide headed, short dogs. the choclate city bllodline is the same line as dmx's dog. matter of fact my female is teh niece of that dog. anyway hope is eventually we'll be bredding just blues... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. 1000 is not too much, as long as you are responsible with the amplifer, the box kent reccomended above might be a good place to start x2!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. i dunno..lol...mike ran two rl-i10's off 3000wrms... and tez, no problem! but u will definitely know when ur pushing too hard, and if u'll back off, then those subs will last u quite a long time. my rl-p has seen as much as 250owrms, it didn't like it, but it did see it..lol...and 1200wrms is the most i'd put on one in a ported application. and i'd make sure my gains are set correctly and u shouldn't have any trouble. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. oh yeah..it'll get the rl-i8 and i get the rl-p 12..lol...but i dunno what i'm going to do with it... and the 'blazer has the bose system in it, the rainier just cd/cassette.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. ok guys, no rainier....i find out monday if we just bought the 05 trailblazer lt ext in our driveway...yeah, teh one with the third row of seats... loaded...same as the rainier only 4 wheel drive. and 16" longer..lol... $29,451 with the pricing..... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. well, IMO, the rl-p can indeed handle 1200wrms in a ported application. i gave my one 12 that off my orion 2500d @ 4ohm. so i imagine a pair of 15's would do just fine as well. especially if u know when to back off. also, IME, the xxx can handle a lil more power. and, like denim said, a pair of the 15's of the orion at 4 ohm is going to sound grreat and get plenty loud. but again, IMO, for the occasional STFU, they will take 1200 easily. as to them not taking abouse, the rl-p will definitely let u know when it's reaching too far...and if u don't know enough to back off, then it's owner error, not sub design. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  11. i'd say as low as 250-300 will more then get it moving..but 500-600 is better adn 750-900 is awesome! and teh 12" rl-p loves 1.25ft^3 sealed!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. i replied.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  13. ...unless an orion 2500d is way overrated at 2 ohm... Ding Ding Ding! We have a Winner! - For the record Impedence rise = female dog. Briefly...of course...ever put 15kw of actual power to a "SQ" woofer for 3 seconds? You'll see pics soon...and numbers kewl! and just what are u meaning by box impedence = female dog?? just curious as i'm trying to learn all i can... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. sweet tom! ummmmm...i'm bored. i wish this finance thing would hurry up..lol....i wanna go somewhere...just dunno where...lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. just got back from the buick rainier test drive..WOW that thing is awesome!! the 4.2 (3?)ltr inline six sounds like a small v8 and runs like it too!! shuts off at 105mph..lol.... anyway, waiting to hear if the financing goes through.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. x2!! lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. ummm, yeah, it is. rated anyway, without graphing the impedence rise of the enclosure....unless an orion 2500d is way overrated at 2 ohm... also, like i stated elsewhere, while the gain on the amp is still set about 2/3 of the way, the sub control on the hu (eclipse 3434) is set on 8 outa 16....and no, it don't like 1700wrms (rated) at full tilt for more then one burp...lol.... so in one sense, ur right...it's not getting the full 1700wrms all the time. but it has handled it, albeit very briefly. and that's all it'll ever handle it as i'm not popping it for no reason. ( i fuess that makes u right about two things...lol...the coil won't take it for long) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. nick, the proto will be shipped within the hour!! thanks again!! one day, i'd like to run ur 12 against the rl-p head to head...i think it would be an awesome test/comparo. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  19. x2!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. and to the haters of the buick..lol.. i likes it.. leather, dvd, lowered a bit, totally optioned up....and if we get it, possibly the future home of the rl-i8....and that means i get the rl-p!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. holy son of a post wh0re captain....almost 2k in posts today supa?? that is wh0ring at it's finest right there....WOW! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. lol..yep..i likes when littlie birdies whisper stuff...lol.. but this little birdie will probably smack me for calling him a lil birdie...hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. off topic, but the more i look at the banner in req's sig, the more i like it. mike, maybe that should be the logo that goes on the subs....that mirror image thing with the big one in the center is just too cool. and of course cut req a bit of a deal on his rl-s for the design...hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. i see what ur saying, but even "developed", it wasn't used. probably due to what u and cb have stated, as well as all xbl fans, the increased inductance and such. however, technologies improve. materials improve. even in xbl drivers. so while the technology is basiclly the same, materials might not be. or whatever. so to use the blanket statement xbl>LMT without a conclusive test, or even a respectable head to head comparo, is premature. especially from someone whom u say is inexperienced. (though i'd say he's well read, even for 15) i understand that's his opinion, but not a well founded one. and again, when one reads the reviews done by those few with LMT drivers, xbl is always on the short end. i have yet to read one review that stated that xbl is better. and supa...lol.....thanks. but i like cb, for 15 he's handles this very maturely. so i'll stay outa the ring with him..lol....'sides, win or lose, i go to jail... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  25. ok guys...this whorefest that is planned... flood pennis out..lol..spam the chitouta this place..hehe i've got a delete button...hehe i'm out for the night fellows.. btw..kinda cheesy, but i'm tired..so i don't care.. thanks guys...i'm glad i'm a member here. see ya tomorrow....gonna go look at a 2005 buick rainer (sp?) for the wifey... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
