first and foremost.....this type of post is absolutely forbidden in IHoP. nothing serious allowed. i should delete it, but it's elegance is keeping me from doing so.. ok, fun aside... i think you and your brother let something get to you that shouldn't have. in person or otherwise. eDmo was because we were making fun of his avatar and he was defending it, eFmo, because you're his brother and made the " i don't have a nickname, nor do i want one" comment. ok, amongst friends what did you expect to happen? you got a nickname, and when supa started to "cry"(complain) about the avatar/ emo thing, well, of course it's going to stick. now, we've already stated we were going to drop it to keep the peace. no biggie. but the joke didn't get taken too far,IMO. in a mature enviroment, feelings shouldn't have gotten hurt, or whatever. and yes, you can have fun in a mature enviroment, the benefit is most mature people realise when a joke is a joke and no harm is intended. i don't know why you and elias let this get to you the way it did. it shouldn't have. especially elias, who has done his share of namecalling. yet, i don't see anyone else getting upset. if it's in fun, it's in fun and it would have died out in it's own time. however, we've nipped it off early, we like the two of you and don't want you to leave or get real upset. personally, i've not been offended by either one of you, so no apologies are necessary. but i do have one request. and this goes out to everyone, not just issac and elias, next time something like this happens, take the time to pm the people involved and politely ask them to drop it. getting pissy and making abrupt comments is just going to had fuel to the fire as people will see how it affects you. if, after pm'ing (or ask publicly, doesn't matter) the issue doesn't stop, get a mod involved. here, at least, that makes a difference. lastly, if u would have noticed, the eDmo,eFmo comments were predominately kept in here. i made mention to eFmo elsewhere, and i will edit it. but the very concept of IHoP is going to breed that..it's all in fun. this is where to bring that exact kinda stuff. and that's why it happens in here. but everyone in here has to understand, no harm is meant (and if the post is indeed vindictive, it will be removed). now, i hope you two don't take offense to this, none is meant. i'm just laying my cards out on the table as you have done. the end result is this ( i hope), everything is dropped concerning eDmo/eFmo. time to move on. we've all agreed to that. so we'll leave it at that. and with that... i've broke the exact same rule... but hopefully the air is clean... and as alwways wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I feel the same way. The product practically sells itself. But Mike's dedication, "realness" ie. (accessibility, honesty) really just makes it that much more exciting to be "IN". I can see only good things coming for SoundSplinter. x2 "in"...not bandwagon....kewl... maybe we should all have a "i'm in, are u?" sig or something..lol.. mike could sign his subs with "you're in"... yeah, pretty lame, but it's 4:40am wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

like mike just mentioned, that would be sweet power for the pair... i'd recommend the deep cycle battery anyway...it won't do anything but help the vehicle, even without the sytem in it....then if u have troubles, try the BIG 3, after that..well, extra batteries, maybe a battcap or ho alt... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

ok, u have 1.3ft^3 gross for a pair of the 8's, correct? ok, that makes about .65ft^3 gross per driver... so far so good...now u gotta factor in that big ass port, which is what it will be in a box that small...but for arguement sake, let's say it takes up .2ft^3 (it'll be more, i guarantee that), the driver pretty close to .1ft^3, so now u are at .35ft^2 per driver, not accounting for material thickness.... seeing the big picture? if u can somehow make the enclosure/port work, u've got just enough room, give or take a few tenths to make the butterworth work... and definitely run the 275hcca on the pair...600wrms each..lol..they'll love ya for it!! but i think u're going to have to redesign ur enclosure just a touch... are u going behind the seats any? or are u wanting to be able to drop this in the tahoe? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

effendi's post about soundsplinter's bandwagon (which i like to think i'm partially responsible for) got me to thinking... notice anything different about this one compared to others? like, noone claims the soundsplinter sub is the endall to woofers? the rl-p is a great driver, everybody mentions that, but in certain cases i've seen other subs recommended over it (myself included). be it power issues, money issues or whatever... is this a reflection of the owner? i mean, he'll go so far as to say his driver isn't the one a person wants based upon projected application. he'll also sign his subs, which is totally cool, IMO. i guess what i'm getting at is this, most bandwagons tend to announce the current brand as the only brand. that whichever particular sub is being touted is the only sub to have. for everything. then expectations get real high and if/when the sub doesn't deliver......now u feel like u got robbed. with this one, it's more honest. while the expectation of a great sounding sub is pretty high, it's not outside of reason to expect that. and it's not touted as the end all for subs. whenever soundsplinter is recommended, it almost always seems as though other's are listed. and if a person makes a pretty specific requirement, a few times i've seen ppl say that soundsplinter isn't the best option... well, with all this rambling...i think this is a well deserved and honest bandwagon. one i'm glad to be on. for the product and the person. ok..i'm done.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
