There were only 50 blue coned Icon's I believe (less then 100 actual production Icons made I believe). I have one 10" that is mine mine mine! Mark might have one last blue Icon at his house, but I am not positive on that one. i have a blue ICON!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Maybe one day I can sign it for you and it will be part of your 6' under collection, like the signed RL-i 8. what i would need is a signed ICON 8 to go with the rl-i. my first gen (like my ICON) 12" rl-p is unsigned. would be cool to have that as a collection!! so hurry up and send me a signed 8, ICON or whatever you will call it, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
Frankly, for what you guys do, a mere check for a couple hundred bucks is an insult Hell, their paychecks are even more insulting. "Mrs. Smith, I regret to inform you that you son has been killed in combat. Here's a nice pin and a properly folded American flag along with a traditional military burial. Thank you." i hate saying this, but... our military is all volunteer. these folks knew going in they weren't getting rich, might get shot at and would have to do this for a nation of people who might not appreciate them. and while that might be wrong, they still volunteered. not making excuses, i feel as though the goverment, as well as the people, owe these folks a great debt. but facts are facts, and they did volunteer. don't forget, that once they get in the civilian sector, they are given some perks. not too mention some good benefits while in, they have some good ones while out. after they serve, and god willing, they are 100%, they can damn near write their own paycheck. of course that depends on their field choice, if they followed up with education, etc, etc. but they will get extra points for whatever they are applying for due to their service, as they should. don't get me wrong. they service they provide, the duty they do, the manner in which they do it (seems like our boys/girls are always handcuffed in combat one way or another. why do we have to play by the rules when the other side doesn't even acknowledge there are rules in the first place??) and the qualtiy that they deliver, they definitely deserve more then they get. no arguement there. all we can do is voice our opinion in the elections by voting in people who actually support the military, and ever little thing we can do for the service folks here at home. i ride in the patriot guard. we escort both homecomings and funerals, and play barrier for those idiots who want to degrade our heros. it isn't much, but it's something, and it's something i'm proud to be part of. ok, enough rambling. sorry for the book. to j, helo and whomever else on here who serves,....thank you. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Kent you have alot of very good points. The problem is alot of us are not coming back 100%. Think of the people with Nam flash backs. Well alot of us have them too but they are different and in some cases VERY extreme. I would like to thank you for riding in the patriot guard. You guys standing by us and helping make our welcome home a little more enjoyable is very appriciated and is not something we take for granted. I know here about 90% of the patriot guard riders we have here are vets themselves. Also to the whole "write your own paycheck" gig. Well as you said its based on field of choice whilse serving, and amount of education recieved while in as well. Alot of us are doing our best to get college completed, but with deployments and not knowing in the location you arrive to with have internet for school makes it even more complicated. Add in field time, training, and other shit and it can be a REAL hassle and many of us opt not to bother. J that's why i stated god willing. i wish more came back 100%, but it is hazardous work. and the goverment does indeed need to realize there is more then just bodily damage done. and more attention/work needs to be done to help treat and prevent those types of disablilities. and you got the just of the "write your own paycheck" comment. it's there, one has to work for it. and like you mentioned, adn no arguement from me, there are times it jsut can't be done. but even with those hardships, even in bluecollar jobs, just serving gives you a leg up. for instance, your service gives you an additional 10 points in illinois for any state job. so all eles equal between us, you are higher on the list by 10 points, which is more then fair. i have no argument to that. might not be much, and it's not enough, but it's something. and you and the rest of the military need not thank me. it si my honor to ride for you guys and gals. and yes, most of the people i ride with are indeed nam or desert storm vets. i tend to ride towrds the back and let those guys ride up front, my way of giving respect to them as well. it's a honor to pay back both fallen and returning heros. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

What kind of bike? I'm currently waiting to get my honda 954 back in comission. A real old CB750 i owned a 75 cb750k-4. the 4? symbolized the first year of 4 cylinders with 4 carbs. was a neat scoot. with some tweaks, was getting 90mph in the 1/8th very regularly. cut a perfect light, 95mph and high 7s, low 8s. made small (read 600) crotch rockets work, lol. big ones?? now chance, i saw tailights after 60ft. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
@ 3.65 a gallon I would stop and fill up my car immediately. It would be like me getting a 3000d in the mail, I would actually be happy. 3.79 a gallon for 87 and rising. it's funny like that. currently, if i see $3.55 or so, i stop and fill up. to be honest, i'm fine with the $3.50-$3.75 a gallon, as it should have been there years ago. i just don't want to see it go any higher. and i'm out for the morning... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP

Welcome to the IHoP
work.....dojo. and that's about it. up at 5am, go to work, there till 3:30. drive home, get cleaned up, go to the dojo till 9pm. earned my yellow belt in two weeks, one day. of course, it gets harder as i go, lol. stretching muscles/tendons i didn't know i had, lol. and i've done it with the three twisted cervical vertabre and a dislocated rib <--best way to describe it. haven't gone to a doctor yet, but i felt a pop and the damn thing has hurt since. can't sneeze, cough or take really deep breaths. though in the last couple of days it has gone to burning more then hurting. aww, the good life, lol. no complaints though. the martial arts is a blast, working out with mini me is priceless. he's a blue belt, and we've got a bet over who gets to black belt first. i've got a long way to go, hence the time at the dojo. btw, this month is my first tournament. hopefully i'll get some pics up (the flash in my camera died, adn it's not user changeable, wtf??) will be competing in sparring this go around, go figure, lol. anyway, anytime u need, just call. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

who bought gas yesterday? just throwing this out there, but yesterday was an organized gas strike. i didn't buy any, i bought last week. if they could truely get everyone to strike, it would help. while i believe that it would still be $3 a gallon or so, i can live with that. it goes any higher, like diesel, and damn. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Understanding/dealing with cabin gain
hmm. guess I've never gotten into the wavelength side of the equation. However, given that, shouldn't a truck with less airspace that's maximized with it's proper wavelength still be louder than a larger vehicle maximized with it's proper wavelength, given the same equipment, because of less air? i would say yeah, or there wouldn't be walls. but then again, most walls are huge surface area, power. shizzon, even in my dodge, with subs foward/ports forward, everything louder with a window open, door open. i'm sure vehicle plays a role, but in every vehicle i've owned, or played with, something open meant louder, regardless of box placement. care to detail your install/ vehicle a bit more? i'm curious. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
