box bracing....overrated?

Amp Trouble
the mtx 1501d(or 81000d, same amp, different name) would be a great solution and with the release of the 05/6 models, the 1501d should be found for at or under $300... memphis mc1500d would work, but unless u buy used or possibley refurbed, under $300 is going to be damn near impossible.. hifonics bx1605d or 1800d, both should give over 1kwrms @2 ohm... kicker 1200.1 might be found for $300.. and i'm looking for more..lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

box bracing....overrated?
prefab doesn't count but even with "just" 1200wrms..bracing,IMO isn't necessary unless u have a straight stretch at or over ~3'...(depending upon power and port placement, 2') the reason i brought this up was everybody (not here) telling ppl to brace their 1.25ft^3 sealed box that was getting a 12 and 500wrms..and double baffle it. i agree there is some enclosures that need bracing, my s18x one for example and jim's h/t box, but for most daily drivers, it simply isn't needed..or not needed as described. but i guess overkill is better then no kill.... hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

how much power for 12" rlp in 1 cube to reach.....
i'd honestly say in the neighborhood of 350-400 wrms will get it pounding in 1ft^3 sealed...but 750wrms would definitely be better... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Line Driver placement
beign a line driver, i wouldn't think it would matter where it's at..adn if anything, closer to the amp..i mean say it's a 16volt unit...regardless of what goes in (say 5 volts) it comes out 16 right?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
sup people's.. jim, got the MO yesterday...will be ordering ports and terminals tonite, buying wood, sealer, and paint tomorrow..so hopefully, just a lil more then a week to full completion ( i have no clue how fast PE is) steve..i second the notion that u guys be allowed to shoot the drunks on sight! too many people die that way. and i'm off to work... got a neat lil item the other day...pics later tom...but it's a piece from a 25mm bushmaster rd. it's called...the "penetrator".. for real! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

opinions needed
if u have 2cuft..u could port the rl-p and it could/would be just about as loud as the pair of rl-i's sealed. which would be my suggestion...but make sure to set the gains properly. though the two rl-i's sealed would be plenty loud (as is one rl-p12 sealed).. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Official Rl-p D2 Group Buy Thread
the alpine, like stated earlier, probably gets really close to it's rating,if not a touch over. and 500 wrms would be awesome, sealed or ported! i would port if u had the room, but sealed(like in my wife's car) isn't bad..loud and low! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
