  1. i thought i did suggest some specifically? and only switch from kicker to memphis if the memphis sounds better to you. personally, the kicker stuff is better quality. memphis quality has been going downhill here recently. not to say they are a bad company, but they used to be better. seriously look into that clarion plate 4x6, it's a beast. i'll see if i can't dig up a model number. and stay away from infinity, unless your into replacing them all teh time. http://audiovideodimension.com/index.php?m...9481bbd4af3eaa6 wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. T.O.P. matt, you get my pm? my sick ass is off to bed... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. here's something that might help... it's a bit long....but it's worth a read. especially the last part about australia. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. i've got a 12 getting 1100wrms daily, does a 135 or so legal. awesome sub, will be great paired with that amp! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. Combination of his grip and his sighting method, it depends on where hes looking when hes aiming, at the front sight, target, or rear site. ISSF shooting (what I shoot), you ONLY look at the front sight, if I remember correctly, when shooting something like speed plates you look at the target and not at your sights. *never shot speed plates* might be an eye dominance issue. more then likely, gun/grip issues. switching from a semi custom 1911 like yours to (what 9mm?) anyother gun is going to create some issues. also, most revolvers have fat grips, those on autos might be too flat and he's not controling the rcoil as he should. speed/plate shooting involves looking at the front sight as well. for the fast guys anyway. if your punching paper slow fire, front and rear are needed. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. no clue. but if it didn't get mid 140's, something would be wrong. but it all depends upon install, tuning, sound deadning, etc, etc wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. would be very loud and depending on box, would sound pretty damn good as well. of course neon's idea just above this would rip nicely as well, lol!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. clarion has a badass 4x6 plate speaker, but i can't remember the model number. it has a true 4" midrange with a 3/4" silk tweeter, IIRC. of course the kickeer stuff isn't nothing to sneeze at, lol. i also like the memphis mclass 4x6. with the swivel tweeter, it'll be farily easy to adjust some of the staging. lastly, with the monsoon system, are you sure it's a 4x6 up front? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. that would kick ass! you'd need d2 subs wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. i don't think the rl-s needs a huge box to get loud. i got to a 139.9 outlaw with a single 12 rl-s in 2.5ft^3 tuned to 32hz with just 1200wrms and a factory gm radio. now that being said, it won't offer it's flattest response, might lose some on the extreme bottom end, but if he's got enough power............ wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  11. i dunno... well, if "" is :kent: , then "" should be :whee: wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I only see you use it, reading the new member posts thread in the VIP I almost posted it there. lol... ok wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. T.O.P. hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  14. first off.... upper is a remington model 11 sportsman in 12g. it's a bit beat up, will probably find it's way to a cpmpentant gunsmith for refinishing. it shots pretty damn well though, been in the wife's family for years and was passed down to my son for his 14th birthday. lower is a tc blackdiamond .50 muzzle loader the son got for christmas. and the prize!!!! that says python!! yes!!! it's a 1961 royal blue 6" B E A UTIFUL, sexy beast!! i'm the third owner and can't wait to set this snake off! this is staying in the family for a long, looooonnnnnnng time. yeah, i'm a bit stoked over this. it's only the second python i have ever seen, first ever in a gun shop and it's mine!! the last time i saw/ shot one, i was my boy's age. i'm 36 now. enjoy! i will! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

if you described your hands correctly, you'll love the xd. and the transition isn't bad. i personally own a couple of polymers, jsut got rid of my 1911 (rusty sumbitch won't even get name mentioned anymore) and i never have any issues going from gun to gun. of course i'm a bit of a nut and will sit for hours cleaning, racking the slide, working the controls until i can flat do it with zero thought and effort. and a .40 in a light polymer gun (i'm assuming you have a goverment length 1911) is about the same recoil as a .45 in a 1911. it's firm, but it's very managable. a .45 in a polymer is a bit more then the 1911, but it's still not a handful. and if the grip fits better, recoil is easier tamed. justin, glad it fits, that's the key. but i'm with you, a sub compact should be just that, a sub compact. kinda like my keltec... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee You sold me. I'll try one out at the range next time I go. You sound like me. Sometimes if I need to zone I just keep taking the 1911 apart and putting it back together. I may have to try the XD then. Pretty much did describe hand right. I have shorter fingers and a verry wide thick palm and thicker fingers. "high volume hand" is the term in the glove buying buisness I guess. I think of them as fat sausages. The ladies love it. ha! =P lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. T.O.P. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. Adrian_D, your money was always nice to me. paypal has issues. i'll second that, lol. it worked just fine here!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. i wish i could find one local like that. been thinking about going to school for it myself though. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  19. lol, nice! it's different, that's for sure. kudo's for not just building another mustang. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. lmao..yeah, it happens. that would have been way too funny.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. hey now!!! lol, why you gotta poke fun at me typing? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. mid 70s to early 80s 'vettes are surprisingly affordable, as far as classic cars go that is true, averaging from around $5k to $7500 depending upon options, shape, etc. but some are easily low 5 digit cars, with a few hitting even better. what ticks me off is that goon that owns them, and of course, what he thinks they are worth, lol. plus since i don't own any corvette, it just really ticks me off he has 3. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yeah, but ur truck is worth more than all three of them lol probably not, lol. but thanks anyway wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. that was funny, lol... bassrat ftw!!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. i want pics from under the hood..wanna see the 550hp powerplant! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  25. if you've taken the backseat out, which i'm assuming you have, the best score i've gotten in a xcab truck involved subs and port facing forward. and yep, it was a pair of 15's. that said, i did try building a a rear wall, and then sub up, port back, and got damn near as loud. if i had more electrical, i think it would have gotten the 15's, BUT it was an s18x and 4000d vs treo ss's and 1000d, lol. raising the tuning will definitely help, as will adding power. by how much? who knows. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
