i've not heard the Q, read plenty of good things about it. however, i love the cvx that's in the wife's trailblbazer. basiclly a L7 with a round cone, it'll get loud and low, and eat power. does it sound good? i think so. everybody who's ever sat in the tb has liked it. it's all up to your ears and your install. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i used to own a 1975 cb750k4 (first year of the 4 carbs, 4 cylinders), i don't remember it needing to run at 9k, even at it's whooping top speed of 110mph or so. though with the few mods i need, it would get most of that in the 1/8th, lol. but the 750 was kinda cramped for me, and you have 4" in height on me. can on imagine how you would feel after a real ride on it.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

No... Laurie (my fiance up there in WI) died back on June 12th a year ago... how is the sub(s) wired to the amp? what size power wire and power potential is the amp? i'll still wager there is a voltage issue at upper volumes. even if his voltmeter isn't showing it, it could be that the dip is fast enough to kill the system but not register on the dash. put a dmm on the battery, or power terminals of the battery, and turn it up. tell us what the dmm reads when it shuts off. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
