just so y'all know, mike has sold out of d2 rl-p 15's, however, he said that he would possibly order some if this comparison was to happen ( he sells more d4 then d2, so the d2 option might just be phased out for now). so basicly, if tire will send me his 15 and amp (tire pm me ) then i can get a d2 rl-p. now on to the 12", which i have one of already. whatcha say nick? as to the h2, hmmmmm, might be interesting to play with. denim, i'll pm or email ya soon and let ya know. it might just be kewl to throw that one in there. is it d2? if tire sends me his stuff, the amp is 1 ohm stable, like 1600wrms rated. okay everyone, let me know! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

personally, i'm loving my soundsplinter rl-p 12. while i won't compare it to the d2 (i have yet to hear one), alot of of people compare it to the brahma, which i have yet to hear as well. but my ss rp-l 12 is in 1.25ft^3 sealed with a rated 750wrms going to it from a hifonics nemesis amp. gets real low and loud, even with the amp getting limited input voltage from the factory h/u and the factory h/u restricting bass as the volume goes up. so what's with the sarcasm nick? if it's in fun, i apologize. if it's not, what gives? mike, as far as i know, has never said anything sarcastic about SI. and the t/s numbers never show all, just give a good representation of the story. i would like to see a comparision of the two drivers..the rl-p's vs the d2's with all things being equal. recommended enclosure with the same power in the same vehicle. matter of fact, ur site says a d2 will work fine in 1.25ft^3 sealed. i will even pay the shipping from u to me and back again to u to do a review. i'll listen to everything from country to hip hop..even the blueman group. i'll be fair, if the d2 is a better driver, i'll tell ya. i'll even get it metered..on an ac at the least and if i can arrange it with team sweep, on a new tl. i'll give each sub 5 runs, throwing out the worst two and averaging the best three. what do ya say? i'm game if u are. lemme know. and don't worry about bias. even though i consider the rl-p the best sql driver i have owned, it's just that, the best I HAVE OWNED not necessarly the best out there. i have yet to hear ur driver, the brahma, or anything from re. i know by ur sales u have nothing to prove, but neither does ss, at least IMO. but being one of the few ppl running an ss sub, at least i can compare the two, same box (both companies recommend this size), same power and same vehicle. i'll even meter both subs same day. the challange is there...whatcha say? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

while this won't be the best answer, i'll give it my best. by putting the sub in the larger box, u loosen up the suspension, ie: it now needs less power to reach full xmax. thus making it more efficient. this does have a drawback...because the sub can reach xmax with less power, u can't give it as much power. and if u try, u risk pushing the sub beyond it's mechanical limits. while that's not the whole story, it's the core. there is the amp's ability to control the sub, port volume and just how much bigger the box is that plays a role in it. but i hope i answered ur question well enuff to help. and remeber, bigger isn't always better. well, at least with sub enclosures......hehehahaha wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

this is a copycat from ca.com... anyone know what their vehicle will do? i just got a gtech from ebay..man, this thing is neat. i haven't used the gforce measurements yet... wife's 2004 pontiac grand prix gt2 with the 3.8ltr 200hp SAE net rating...0-60 in 8.1 sec with the 1/4 mile going by in 16.4 @ 87mph...no hp readings yet. my 2004 siverado with the 295hp SAE net rated 5.3ltr did 9.1secs 0-60, with the 1/4 going by in 17.1 @ 81 mph. with a GVWR of 6400pds (minus 4 ppl i inputed 5700pds), i got a 235 hp rating including drag at the wheels. a friend's 1987 buick turbo t did the 0-60 in 5.4 secs with the 1/4 going by in 12.5 @ 115 mph. he's also putting 250 hp to the ground in a (inputed) 3700pdGVWR. we were running uphill some and he still did a 14.02 @101 mph. the car is fast..hehe what about all of u?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i think ppl mention mileage because with today's technology, you can have both, horsepower and fuel economy (or at least something close to it). with 6 spped manuals and 5-6 speed automatics, there is no reason a car with 500hp and weighing 3600pds shouldn't get 25mpg. heck, my pickup weighs over 5000pds, has 300hp and a 4 speed auto and gets 18 mpg doing about 70mph with the tailgate up. of course u guys are right, u don't buy an 800hp "supercar" and worry about gas mileage. all u worry about is if it's going to land the females u thought it would when u bought it. i've noticed u ford guys aren't saying anything about how the ultima beats this ford thingy with 160 less hp. though in the looks department ,especially black, this thing wins. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
