  1. The Navy found they had too many officers and decided to offer an early retirement bonus. They promised any officer who volunteered for early retirement a bonus of $1000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any two points in his body. The officer's got to choose what those two points would be. The first officer who accepted, asked that he be measured from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. He was measured at six feet and walked out with a bonus of $72,000. The second officer who accepted was a little smarter and asked to be measured from the tip of his outstretched hands to his toes. He walked out with $96,000. The third one was a grizzly old Captain who, when asked where he would like to be measured replied, "from the tip of my penis to my testicles." It was suggested by the pension man that he may want to reconsider, explaining about the nice checks the previous two officers had received. But the old Captain insisted and they decided to go along with him providing the measurement was taken by a medical officer. The medical officer arrived and instructed the Captain to "drop em", which he did. The medical officer placed the tape measure on the tip of the Captain's penis and began to work back. "My God!" he suddenly exclaimed, Where are your testicles?" The Captain calmly replied..."Vietnam" wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  4. i remember when this happened...i lost my mod status then because i felt that the trash talking forum should have been allowed to do just that. ppl said mods should be above the flame section and i said they shouldn't. i also said if u didn't like a particular thread/section..don't read it. how hard was that? on to ur current gripe..... i like the fact u speak ur mind...i like the fact u'll throw it out in public...so as a person, i have no problems with u. where i do have a problem is this..the post count rule is there to let ppl know that the person has been around awhile...if u're not a post whore..fine. i see where u're coming from...that's why i said the 20 post rule would be exempted if u could post 10 references from ebay, ca.com, sin whereever. post the link to ur ebay s/n...most forums now have a feedback sectiopn of sorts..post links to those..whatever....just let potential buyers know ur not a scammer (not saying u as in being specific, but in general)....again, how hard is that? is it not fair? i don't think ur an ass or anything like that..but i believe that if this forum is going to maintain a certain level of intelligent conversation, then rules need to be enforced. we don't want this place to turn into car or ca.com or whatever. and already having 20+ posts (even if the majority was in the for sale section, plus i knew ur s/n) u weren't endanger of losing any posts anyway. i think it's a good rule and i'll keep enforcing it, until i'm told otherwise. i've given ppl a backdoor (the feedback exemption)..so if they are on the up and up, they have no worries. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. so who's being a keyboard commando? you're the one spouting off at the keyboard. and other then the classified area, just where have us "dildo's" used our moderator powers so much that you don't want to post here? i've been here quite awhile as well, i too was part of the earlier forum, and i don't ever recall any moderator here really exerting a bunch of power. and again, like 97 just posted, that rule is in place to protect YOU from being scammed. is it foolproof? of course not...but at least it's there. besides, if a person has outside reference's, we'll (i'll) let it go, regardless of post count. but we don't want to be known as a "classified section" forum only. we want everyone contributing.... "moderators making all these damn rules"...kinda our job isn't it? and with 27 outa 34 posts in the classifieds...just how in the hell have u contributed enuff to this board to even hint at that you helped make it what it is? and regardless of your spl track record, it's the track record here that counts. and if your that good there, why don't you contribute that much here? climb off your high horse, if the classified area is your only gripe, you don't have much to complain about. sheesh.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  13. since mike answered the majority of ur questions, i'll touch base on a simple part...the quality. these are truely awesome drivers that get loud, get low and sound sweet doing it. i currently run a single 12 rl-p in my wife's car. it is by far the best mix of sq and spl that i have owned. and what i think is the most important part, mike is a truely awesome guy to work with. all companies need to take notes on this man's customer courtesy. far and away the best u'll ever receive. period. i'll do my best to answer any questions u might have here while mike is on his trip... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

A man scanned the guests at a party and spotted an attractive woman standing alone. He approached her and asked her name. "My name is Carmen," she told him. "That's a beautiful name," he said. "Did your mother give it to you?" "No," she replied. "I gave it to myself. It reflects the things I like most in my life - cars and men." They continued to talk and finally she asked "What's your name"? "Beerfuck," he replied. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

This guy wakes up out of a deep sleep and, feeling real horny, nudges his wife awake and asks, "Why don't we get it on, huh?" She replies, "I have an appointment at the gynecologist tomorrow and you know I don't like to make love the night before." So the husband agrees and rolled back over and started to go back to sleep. A few minutes later, he nudges his wife again and asks, "You don't by any chance have a dentist's appointment tomorrow, do you?" wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. looks sweet as hell!! don't really think the solo's re upside down...i guess it just depends on what color u want on top... looks loud as hell too...hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. 1) memphis sq series with silk tweeters. absolutely smoooth...price isn't overly high and they sound awesome. don't use a huge x-over either... 2) diamond audio m6 ..for the money, even retail, hard to beat the sq...responsive mid's...really smooth tweet, nice and crisp. 2) focal utopia ..yep, a tie...love these componets, hate the price... 4) memphis msyncs with metallic tweeters...loved these, the tweets are precise without being overly assertive. 5) focal polyglass with metallic tweeters..midrange awesome, tweets get way too aggressive with power(anything over 35wrms) honorable mention...oZ 4.25's with metallic tweets..these little suckers kicked ass!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

no real budget...i mean, i don't think " i'm only going to spend $500 on this pair of subs"...instead, i go into a "finding the best deal" shopping mentality. though i usually have some kinda idea about waht i want to maybe spend. i guess it's more of a "what am i getting for my dollar" thought process. if i figure that i'm getting more by spending more, then to me that's the better deal. yet, like in the case of the memphis pr line, sometimes you can get quite a bit for less. another thing i look at is what i'm trying to accomplish. am i after all out spl? or do i want more sql? once that's figured out, then the product i'm going to look for is narrowed down some, so then i have a general idea about what i might be spending. and in the end, it's all about if i think, believe, i got the best deal for my money. did i get the right product? is there enough warranty, or customer service? and will this be enough to do what i want? (here i try to get some headroom and usually look for more then what i need) and probably most important, will i want or need to upgrade? did i leave myself enough room with what i just bought to upgrade? a person needs to think three or four steps, systems, ahead. if not, then when upgrading, an entire new system will have to be bought instead of a piece or two. also, and this is the most important part of any budget, will the wife let me have the money??? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. BRING THESE BACK!!!! mark, aaron........hello??? lol....u gotta bring 'em back!!! all of these will work!! oh yeah, don't forget tire's +1 wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
