ur probably right...i mean the shop could get in trouble...esp with all the badmouthing.... BUT..the owner had to know that it wasn't exactly a professional shop he/she had done and this exact thing could/would have happened. but then again, if the owner actually believes his/her ride is kewl..then this would be a total shock... glad i could help out the mtx junkies..hehe... ACTUALLY..mtx is one of the best brands going, especially for mainstreme, at least imo.. i have done two different mtx installs using the 7512 series sub..one in a mustang using a rf 601s amp..and the other used to be in a explorer using the mtx 801d..and i gotta say (boxes built to mtx spec, vented) these are two of the loudest, cleanest 12" installs i have heard..especially for the power. plus the subs just look kewl!!! and the d class amps are indeed awesome!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i, too, am running the 165v's..and like them. typically getting 35wrms..they have a nice sound..but i think it's time to get away from metallic tweeters and try something softer..hehe as to the sub question.....either a treo ssi 10 or 12, would achieve great sql..or my new personal favorite..the soundsplinter rl-p. i have a 12 (unfortunetly u can't get a 10 in the p series, u have to "step down" to the i series) and it is one of the best sounding subs i have heard to date. and it gets real low.. check em out, soundsplinter..and give [email protected] a holler. he is a great guy to talk to and deal with!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
