  1. i'm here, i'm here!! oh, and he pm'd me too, lol. and i honestly agree with tirefryr, i've never had an issue with mtx. sub wise i'd stay at the 7500 series or higher. and i miss their old 1501d. that was a pretty good bruiser. otherwise, look into the ssa icon, the maw12 (depending upon power), teh sundown line up of amps. not too mention soundsplinter's rl-p and the Fi lineup. there is so much good shit here, lol, it's hard to name it all. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. loving it. not the best money, but it has good benefits, and the damn thing is easy. i get $0.485 a mile to drive my vehicle, on top of the hourly wage. with less then an 80 hour check and mileage, i've put over $1k in the bank the last two weeks (again, not great, but if i can net $20k a year, i'm happy). and the overtime doesn't feel like like overtime. i put in just over 50 hours lastweek, felt like 30. i will do some training the next two days in a town 50 miles away, one direction, lol. so i'll make ~$100 this week minimum just driving to and from work, lol. and i get my mileage check every friday, paycheck every two weeks, benefits will be $88 every two weeks for medical and dental, for the family. and that's not counting quarterly bonus's, hehe. yeah, i don't mind cleaning up for this kind of job. and i've completed one phase of training, which is good for a fifty cent raise, and i've started the second phase. so by the time my probation is up, i'll have an $1 an hour raise. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. all that stainless, i didn't see the extended slide release. that's all i want to add to my kimber. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. the hellboy, by pictures, doesn't appear to be that big. i want the plans too, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. the big three is easy enough... what kind of truck do you have? but basicly, you run an extra wire from the alternator to the positive battery post. you run an extra ground from the negative post to the chassis and another extra wire from the negative post to the engine. if you're game enough, you can also chase down the factory engine to chassis, and upgrade that one as well. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. yeah, two 8's SEALED!! lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. T.O.P. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. i don't recall the model number, but pioneer has a double din in dash 6 disc changer/dvd player that looks exactly like the d3. it's a pimp ass unit i wanted to put in the trailblazer for the wifey, but she wouldn't let me spend the money i'll try and dig up a model number. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee http://www.electronicsbonanza.com/comersus...er-AVH-P6800DVD that's it!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. shouldn't need to touch the frame for an extended hump grip safety. when you do the combat style hammer, macke sure the grip safety/beavertail is notched for it. don't forget to add an extended slide release and thumb safety, melt the edges and you'l have a pimp ass 1911. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. i don't recall the model number, but pioneer has a double din in dash 6 disc changer/dvd player that looks exactly like the d3. it's a pimp ass unit i wanted to put in the trailblazer for the wifey, but she wouldn't let me spend the money i'll try and dig up a model number. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  11. nice!!! that's a sweet score indeed! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. damn. Do you have to have sound deadening and all that to achieve high db numbers? I'd like to see what mine does, I know MrRay13 did 132, but I'm not sure what kind of deadening he has and so forth. The ICON is making a name for itself real quick. -John i've got deadening on my roof and that's about it. save a little in each door. troy, you want that ssaudio guy banned? jsut say the word bro!! hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  13. just having the "wnat" is a good first step. here's a few quick tidbits.. don't be afraid to fail. if it doesn't work, try again. learn from it and try again. (i was going to quote edison and his lightbulb statment, but it failed me, lol) don't be afraid to ask questions. that's why we are here. don't be afraid of constructive critism. we only get harsh if you fail to respond, lol. most of us have been there and tried that. so when we say that way sucks, it's not to cut you down personally. it's just that one of us has probably tried it and it just didn't work. and never think you know it all. it just doesn't happen. most of the really smart ones around here are always learning. and aren't afraid of someone teaching them. and like ///M5 said, nothing can replace hands on. take shawn up on his offer. watch and learn, get your hands dirty. it's addicting though, lol...so be careful!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. i'm not at all famaliar with that amp. what's it's rating at 4 ohm? but to throw a suggestion out there, look into kicker's new cvt lineup. at 4 5/16" of an inch deep, 400wrms power handling and a MAP price of $179, you could get a 12". or a pair. and they come in either svc 4 or svc2. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. you cook it, lol... and like previously mentioned, don't point fingers at the amp. i know of several memphis amps that blew at 9 -10 volts. those people don't go online and blast they suck balls though. shit, that's the reason people preach electrical before amp.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. my god... now i'm arguing with peter_euro over at CAF because i used teh words "output potential is near the tops", when refering to my opinion about the rD classic sealed. (it was in rebuttal to him stating no rD sub would work sealed) now, everything (i must really be behind the times) HAS to be measured by klippel and in oreder ot have a valid opinion, one must validate his remarks with his own klippel measurements. (denim, get the ICOn on the klippel stat!!) wtf? http://www.caraudioforum.com/vbb3/showthre...age=2&pp=15 start on that page and read on.... oh yeah, and if you mention a specific sub, whether or not you're just talking about your personal experience with it, you must be pimping it. wow...it's time for me to go to bed adn get laid. lol.....i must be too old for this shit. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. thank you, but alas, it seems as though the fun is over. oh well, i'm sure another one will jump up soon enough.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. ok..slow down. noone really wants anyone to go, but at the same time, don't just huff and puff. simply put, ///M5 is a purest. his version of sq and a system is going to be completely different then a groundpounders. and he's pretty damn intelligent to boot, so when he makes a comment, it's sure to rub some people the wrong way. is say this, the off topic stops.....eitherr help the op, or don't. but take the argument to it's own thread in offtopic. have at it there. and to be honest, a single 8 (if it's the right one, in the right enclosure) will easily drop as low as a 12. and be jsut as loud. and in an 00 mustang, space is an issue, going with a great pair of 8s in a good enclosure is going to give one quite a bit of thump. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  19. i'm out folks... i need a break from the interwebz... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. lol, sounds like fun. you sure she needs the beauty thing done? hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. not much sean...arguing with bass2loud over at caf. here lately, i think my whole internet existence is to argue with clueless tools who have no reason to be posting. i think one should have to aquire an internet license before posting, with endorsements for various forums. like you'd have to pass a basic test on car audio before you could post about it... blah... sup dre? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. be strong bro. take care of those thing that matter. car audio should be the least of your worries. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. http://www.caraudioforum.com/vbb3/showthre...884#post2168884 seems bass2loud can base his judgements on pictures and price alon, and seems to know for a fact teh mach5 offering is priced too high because dayton has better drivers at the same price. thing is, i couldn't find them, lol... anyway, check out the last posts. i think bass2loud is going to have to change his arguement yet again, hehe yeah, i love this stuff...even when/if i lose.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. that's badass, lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  25. yeah thank him. mark, you're a jerk. because i can't afford one of these at this moment. you bastage, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
