what exactly am i defending? that ssa is ran out of home? so what? and mark and aaron making ssa professional is what has made this forum what it is. you want ot make fun of a forum, go to ecoustics, caraduio.com or casrstereo.com, all three of those seem to be at your intelligence level, which isn't saying much. so you don't care, that's cool. it's not liek you've contributed anything. enjoy your vacation bro. btw, you are correct. i will defend this forum and the people in it because i am the moderator i am. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

and you own what? i don't know you, save these three previous posts, and i'll call you ignorant. and there is more then one online company ran out of a residence. hell, i'll wager 3/4 of ebay is in home. but just so you know, i'll tolerate your ignorance only a bit more more briefly. so shut up and learn, or move on back to ecoustics. either way, i don't care, but your done pissing in people's threads. understand? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Using the online port length calculator
shoot for what your net will be after all displacments, ports, subs, bracing, etc. you'll have to figure actual port displacment when it gives you the length, so you might need to adjust the volum a time or two to get it right. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

whats a good amp
the 3000d only does 800 @ 4ohm? i need to look that up. a 260 alt will be fine on the 2500d, remember, your only actually using 1200wrms, and at 4 ohm, it's more efficient. a lot less current is needed at 4 ohm to create 1200 watts then is needed at 1 ohm. as long as you have a good deep cycle up front, with that alt, i wouldn't hesitate to run a 2500wrms amp. i ran my orion 2500d at .5ohm all day off a factory 105amp alt and a yellow top. with the big 3, i never had issues. it would drop to around 10 volts, but only on the big hits. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

whats a good amp
the zx2500.1 will give you quite a bit of power at 4 ohm, which is where your at with a single rl-s. it'll deliver in teh neighborhood of 1200 wrms. and if you add a second rl-s, you'll be right in the sweet spot of 2 ohms and 2500wrms. an older orion 2500d will deliver similiar power at 4 ohm, but will only deliver 1700 @ 2ohm, so adding asecond sub won't tap the full potential of the orion. look into the sundown 3000d, ask jacob what kind of power it does at 4ohm. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Three 8 inch subs vs. One Q12 vs. Q15
that's not an infinite baffle, unless he has the sub firing outside the vehicle. no, that's just a simple enclosure with the sub inverted. a sub doesn't care which way it's mounted, it's got cone on both sides, lol. the three 8s, unless getting a regulated power supply, won't match up for impedance with any amp. however, they will have the cool factor. and the rl-i8 has some serious output potential and power handling in the right enclosures. what's the overall design goals? what are the design goals for output? low end? and what's the budget? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

nothing fancy
the pic in the picture above would be a good one, if a cruiser is what your after. while layout is a bit crowded for my tastes, one can always make the bike work. there are so many parts available, that you could purchase the bike in stock form, and has your skill improves, you can change the layout to suit your style. the best part about the HD is, you can get a return on the investment, when it comes time for a new scoot. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Measuring for resinate Freq:
it should, but should isn't a definitive word. but the majority of the problem lies in the fact people don't map out the car's response and they handicap the program. and i know of no competitor that actually uses any kind of program because not a single program has ever gotten them close to what they could do with just plain old testing. entirely way too many varibles involved in car. (from flipping a sun visor down to sliding the seat up one notch, i've seen many things add or subtract a tenth or so) and let's not forget the performance of subs who don't model well. several tc sounds sourced drivers model like shit in just about every program, yet in real world, they perform remarkably well. and i've seen drivers model very well, yet fall flat on their face in reality. a program isn't foolproof, but i'll agree that with the proper testing and mapping, a program can indeed give one a basic starting point. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
