So my box is more 33 Hz the 32 Hz. how thick is the wood used in the box? to figure NET, all you need to do is subtract the wood thickness all the way around. how many ports are there? and if it's a prefab box, that tuning is going to be close. as you lose volume, and yep, sub and port displacement matter, tuning goes up. and most prefabs are in the 40-45hz area. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

no, there wasn't any sarcasm in that. about three days before, my wife tags a button buck with the trailblazer at about 45mph. no damage to the truck whatsoever, buck has a broken back. TB 1, deer 0 same road, about the same time (heading home from work) a buck jumps out as we go by. Smacks the rear of the truck, does a 360 and blazes right behind the truck into the field. no damage to the TB, deer lost some skin. well, i'd wager either would work well. the rD classic was in spec boxs, the maw, larger then spec. teh rD might benefit from a smaller ported box, and both would have a bit more punch in a smaller sealed box... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I've ruined atleast phone keeping it in my pocket from picking heavy chit and using my leg to help pick it. all else being equal, it's only the price that separates the two. seriously, they are that close. the output, while definitely in the classic's favor, is such that one can't hear the difference. i was surprised by the numbers, as they sounded very close. of course one could double up on the maw and regain output. but then one sacrifices room (though the maw is a smaller box woofer per the website) and then adds the need for power. to be honest, i don't know if i settled anything, but rather created more of an issue. lol, they are that close. all i know is it was fun. even put aside the oil change and service on the truck just so i could play with the subs all day. and that i did, lol! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
