Four Q's vs Four Bl's? What differences can you expect?
Well, now you're just making assumptions ;P. I have two 15 inch dual 1 q's with bp already. One I'm selling, and the other is in a HT setup of mine. So, thats what I mean't by I'd get those if they were dual 1's, because then I could wire all four to 2 ohm load for strapped aq2200d's. Also, at some point in the beginning of my thread I believe I said something to the effect of to assume both subwoofers would be in their optimum spaces. I can most likely get 16 cubes. Won't be easy, but I think I can. Is that 16 cubes before or after displacements. The port for a box that large will take up a bit of volume, as well as the bracing, double baffles/walls, and the subs themselves. To me it seems that the BL's are what you want, as M5 stated. Also, what music do you listen to? There aren't many songs that I can think of that go much below 30hz, Bass I Love You and some slowed songs are what come to mind. Also you will need a bit beefier electrical to support 4k wrms. The two subs are designed to do two completely different things. The BL to get loud (though it doesn't sound bad by my standards) And the Q to sound good (gets decently loud, nothing crazy though). Most of is in the build though. Yeah I gotcha. Well, i may only be able to do 16 before displacement. So in the end I may be better off going with the Q's just so they can be in their optimum environment. It's more driver size that will dictate whether you can fit them in there. Perhaps either two 18"s or four 12"s would be a better route.

blew my sub
Is the box for multiple 15"s? If it's just one then that is a huge enclosure for it. With the enclosure being that big the sub will easily over excurt, your mechanical power handling is reduced dramatically. If feeding it the full 1500wrms in that large of a box, I'm surprised the sub lasted that long lol. EDIT:^^^What he said. Slow typing ftl.^^^

It's hard to find for a competitive price.

Swapping Monster for Knu
I thought about doing that, but I don't really want to have a bazillion different kinds of wire in my car. I guess most of it wont really be seen though lol.

Swapping Monster for Knu
I have 60' (40' clear/silver, 20' blue) of Monster 400 Series 1/0. I need another 100' (40'clear/silver, 60') blue though. So I was wandering if I should bother hunting like crazy for more Monster, which I have been doing, or sell it all and get some Knu Fleks 1/0. Basically, should I hunt for another 100' of Monster 400, or say screw it and get 160' Knu Fleks?

New Fi X
I was just looking at them. If they came in a 10" and d2 or s4 I would get two for my gf's 4th order when they are released lol.

Sounds like it will be an interesting build though. I'm excited to see how it turns out.

DD 3500e or IA DP
I'll say it just like I did on ca. My DP's sound great imo, and get loud. Or they did until I gutted my car lol. I've heard some DD subs, they got loud, but I didn't really like the sound. I'm sure it had a lot to do with the setup, and my personal opinion though.....The DP would be more comparable to the 9500 though. A lot of it is going to come down to installation.....But still, IA ftw lol. PLUS: You can get the DP's here at the SSA store.

New build log 2 18"s inside
I like the layout. Not the typical port on top, or drivers side.

Team Sundown Expedition
O I see. I have 2+ and 2- runs, but was thinking of maybe doing a few more. But I don't really wanna run a whole bunch of different brands of wire, but also don't wanna just buy all new wire. fml lol But gl with the build, can't wait to see it done, and get more work done on mine.

Team Sundown Expedition
lol...thanks man...i been building this thing for a longgg time...just now showing it off really...the dps are awesome subs also...and my expo is a 01...well whats left of it lol...was hoping for new paint before SBN but just not enough time...so it will be sprayed outrageous bondi beach as soon as i get back from daytona...along with 16 powermaster d1600s and the 4500s...Im not stopping till I get my 160...on music that is ;] Nice. I have 2 of the DPs and 2 of the 3000d's from my last setup. Now I'm doubling everything in a 4th walled at the b-pillars. I also have 4 Deka 9a31's now, looking for 2-4 more. And probably some more 1/0 too lol. Is that Monster 1/0 you're using, and did you get it from dbeez in ca.com?...I'm thinking about trying to find more of that, or just switching it out completely, maybe Knu or something.

Team Sundown Expedition
Damn, another 4th order in an expedition with 4 IA 21"s and Sundown amps lol. Only difference is I have 4 DP21"s and will have 4 SAZ-3000d's for now.....If your Expedition is an 03 then I'll be really freaked out lol. Looks good so far, love the cage.

Port Cat
Yep lol. I'll see if I have any on my comp. I got these pics on her camera, so I'm sure there are a few.

Port Cat
Haha I thought about putting a 9 volt on the terminal, but that would have been too mean lol.

Port Cat
We were looking for my gf's cat and couldn't find him. So we sat down to watch tv, then see a lil head poke outa her box, which is sitting in her living room right now. I thought it was kinda funny so we took some pics. The flash really shows the staples. Using thick heavy carpet ftl.

Good Marine Sub?
Alright, I'll get that tomorrow after class.

Good Marine Sub?
That's kinda what I figured. I'm gonna head over there with my camera today or tomorrow.

Good Marine Sub?
Kinda, I think he is just wanting something small, simple, and good sounding. That doesn't always mean IB. Some more detail on the mounting location, boat type etc... would help. Tons of fun tricks you can play in boats I'll get some more specifics whenever I'm at the boat....It is a 28' Pursuit. It's a fishing boat mainly. The sub will be in the cabin area, which is just a bathroom beneath the center console. I'm pretty the front and rear waves would be isolated from each other, I'll check on that when I'm there. I'm not 100% sure on the exact amount of room I have to work with, but I think I have a fair amount. At least for one 10", maybe 12". Would you be willing to share some of these tricks when I get better info on where it will be going.

Good Marine Sub?
This is the main focus of my search. What about the motor, spiders, basket, and such?...I'm trying to talk him into letting me seal it so we don't need to worry about this.
