Agreed, you "probably" wouldn't hear it, I'd suggest at a minimum of 27.48 in^2 of port area.

How do you know they're "under-rated"? I see a huge potential for destruction in your case, I'd just pick up a used 125.2 or 100.2 and keep the gains down.

That's funny. You have to elaborate, am I wrong about the purpose of the flimsy metal plate used around some of the locks? (to be fair it wouldn't prevent shit but it would make it a little more frustrating) Sometimes that helps, an alarm doesn't prevent theft it deters it. Similar concept.. kinda..

Why would you want it to be loud outside when you're in the car driving.. it's not like im trying to impress other people by how loud it is outside of my car... Also because my phone has an anti-distortion setting so it reduces it, it's used to record concerts.

I agree about the mileage that's almost 20k miles a year, that's a bit steep. It's around 17k in excellent condition in my area code.

Pop it out of the box and lay it vertically cone up and push gently and listen for any scraping. It could be the dust cap flopping about, if i remember correctly the BTL's have sewn in leads so that should eliminate any tinsel lead slap.
Both the SA's and the SKAR's are great woofers, pick one and you won't be lead wrong with the amount of quality in both of them. Beautiful box by the way!
