I got to test drive one same day back home, tons a fun but a bit bumpy and over priced IMO. For a fully loaded ST you're talking Subie money, and nearly Mustang GT money. It's a bit ludicrous IMO.

I'm not sure why they would use that type of foam. As you can see after one impact it's completely destroyed. It probably broke the foam and then was dropped again sending the final blow. Shippers really don't like heavy small objects like these.

Honestly I would rather sell the 6x9s and then go with a more standard size, like you said you'd be locked into 6x9s versus going with a six or eight which you'd be able to upgrade with any other comparable size even some DIY stuff. The 6.5's sound good, are very durable, take good power, and you get the reputation of RF. Are there any dry non flood-able areas to place amps/ speakers?

I've done a few installs in these, expect nothing super spectacular but you can get some good sound. I've used a TON of the Rockford Fosgate M262 speakers and they sound great and get fairly loud.

For the most part I love living here. I hate the outrageous cost of living and all the new age hippies. But other than that I love it.
