  1. Apparently Phoenix Gold is coming out with a High Current Amplifier Performance Auto and Sound - The Girls - The Cars - The Life - Phoenix Gold “THE ONE”
  2. I agree with Impious, only deadening for enclosures i've seen was with kick pods and door panels.
  3. i'd get the BL (Although i'd love a pair of XCONS) But from experience i loved my BL i would tune it about ~35hz, at 30hz the lows were there but the upper bass was lacking.

Not quite, but it will make the amps work a little easier at 2 ohms. Clipping will still depend on settings, and overheating will still be due to overdriving an amp. less current draw = less energy wasted on heat As apposed to being at .5ohm (which it will indefinitely clip unless you have a fairly good electrical behind it) it will clip less at 2 ohms than it would at .5

You either need to get a recone, from FI or RE. Also you can wire it to 2 ohms it will be getting less wattage but it means no clipping or overheating,
  6. any reasoning behind this? AQ are good amps.. Just not the best IMHO I've heard older Comp sets of MB Quart VS new Maxxsonic Comps and the older sound just so much better.
  7. Wire...

are you sure they're dual 2's and not 1's? if it were dual 1's it would drop it below 1ohm and make the amp run hottter, those hifonics amps don't like being put under 1 ohm with out a very good electrical.

i've seen it been done before
  10. Please close/move this thread. does not belong in this section.
  11. 45's, take that huge ass brace out and put an all thread in. more port area, bigger box.
  12. If you get the accidental coverage for like $60, you can dip the alt in hydrochloric acid if you want to and he will still take it back. Its only a one time deal though. Good luck with whichever alt you purchase though. LOL^
  13. Just shows how high of a current you're pushing. crazy
  14. I have a problem with going below 13v
  15. If i could afford them i'd purchase the Kinetik i would. But I wouldn't mind trying the SHURiKEN for the prices.
  16. Any thing on hats like 59FIFTY hats? would love one.
  17. From what I've been learning/reading Metra Electronics owns Shuriken. Also they're the owners of other brands such as Tsunami, Axxes, The Install Bay, Omega, Raptor, Ethereal, and Ballistic. Also theres someone on here that has a couple in his vehicle. i can't quite remember who. Another thing is that I've been reading is that these are basically repackaged Kinetiks. So it would be like LG selling TV's to Best Buy and then Best Buy repackaging it to Insignia TV's . (that's the TV i own, LG TV last years model with a similar case and different logo)
  18. I would be weary about purchasing an alt for 250 amps at $268, just my .02. Nothing to be weary about if it doesn't perform as expected I can send it back and get my money back. Also has a 1 year warranty. Mechman told me once installed I couldn't send it back if not satisfied. save up a little more and get a DC power alt. and i agree, 268 dollars is a tad fishy
  19. You probably didn't see he already has an alt and he is wondering installing a second one. It's still not difficult.
  20. why not install it? it's not difficult. it just takes awhile. trust me seeing your voltage at a constant 14v is very nice.
  21. Mechman is known for great alts, have you looked in to DC Power?
