  1. Thanks for the help everyone. I got a new camera so it will be pictures galore! As for the subs Jacob is freaky fast. Put my order on Monday and he already shipped them out wed and I'm expecting to get them this coming Sat. Order to subs in Less than 5 days! Now I just need an amp. Looks like the member on the boards that was trying to sell his SAE 1000d fell through because he hasn't responded to my PM's Sigh oh well the hunt continues....I'm also considering 3/4 inch plexiglass just for looks. Heres an enclosure me and my bro built with plexiglass. (He's a member on the boards)
  2. Got it. Thanks! Well now I have to wait until I get out of college to go back home so I can get started on building my enclosure. I hate waiting.... I'll keep everyone posted once I start building.
  3. Cool I think the SAE will do fine then as i wont be daisy chaining them. As for the box if i add the port length up including the bend i come up with 36.75 inches which is closer to 41.05 inches but not on the dot. Am I still doing something wrong or is this RE calculator at fault. I am taking into account 3.5 inches between the back and the port. If you look at the RE calculator it says Square Port length 1 = 9.75 Square Port length 2 = 27 If you add those to up you get 36.75 so why does it say total port length is equal to 42.75. I'm probably overlooking something. :/
  4. Ok so i punched in the numbers in the calculator that Oldskool gave me and it says my port length needs to be 41.05 inches long instead of 27" like the RE calculator said. WTF?! can someone help me out here
  5. Thanks for the reply OldSkool. A member is selling a SAE 1000d for $175. I'm still waiting for a response. Is there a reason I should be looking at the SAZ 1000d instead of a SAE? Is it worth the extra $100? Thanks for the calculator. I'll mess around with it and see what's up. I can't seem to find the Xmax for the SA-8. Can someone shed some light on that? Thanks
  6. Well haven't posted up here in a while so i thought id post up what I'm doing lately. I already have 2 SA-8's on the way and I'm going to pair it up with a SAE 1000d amp or an SAZ 1000d amp (not really sure what to get at the moment). I will be wiring both of them down to 1 ohm. It's all going in a 1992 toyota pickup extended cab. Here are the specs of the box I'm designing at 32 hrtz. In the 3D photos the length should be 40" not 36". Any comments, help, or info would be appreciated. Thanks-Blake
  7. Just sent payment. I plan on running one SA-8 off of a SAX-100.2 Does anyone know if the amp will handle a bridged 2 ohm load? Thanks-Blake
  8. cool i'll still take one. Im gonna try sending the money via paypal.
  9. Sent you an e-mail. Hope you still have a couple left. Are they still $119 for one subwoofer as of today (April 11, 2009) ?? Thanks-Blake
  10. Wait, I know that monitor is 22" but I dont remember cutting the hole for the plexiglass that big.... Did you cut the whole out bigger?? If so you are going to have to order another 3/4" thick plexiglass. I like the fading effect you put on the team design logo. It turned out to be better than I imagined. Keep up the good work!
  11. AWAAATTT??!?! oh nvm lol
  12. Naw its cool. The original poster is my brother and you don't know how many times I have told him to stop doing it. It just bugs me and I'm glad you pointed that out to him. Hopefully he will stop now.
  13. Told ya someone was gonna flame you on your capital letters. Ugh gets on my nerves lol
  14. Aren't girlfriends great? lol
  15. You can get a btl if space permits. You will need to upgrade electrical if your going to power the btl to its specified power but you can also under power it therefor not needing to upgrade electrical but it will affect the perfomance of the sub.
  16. Is this your second build or your first? Looks good. Buy the look of the size of that port i bet its moving more air a minute than i can breathe in a week. lol keep up the great work and keep us posted!
  17. There right! You will have your baby looking better than new in no time
  18. Yup just split the remote coming from the HU and run them to your amps or you can jump it like "bassahaulic" said. both should work
  19. If you wanted the best of both worlds could you make one box tuned to 31 hrtz and another box that is the same size tuned to a higher hrt?
  20. I've heard so many great things about the audioque 2200 that im getting one myself
  21. Maybe? Just by yourself a cheap 65 dollar head unit that will be sufficient enough until you can save up for a better one. JMO
  22. Check your fuses! My explorer had the very same symptoms and i took it all apart only to find at the end it was a fuse. You probably shorted out the fuse when messing with the battery and I bet that's your problem. Good luck!
  23. Haha the orange bottle was going into the black hole of death!
