12" Bl vs. 15" Q
he wont blow the Q. that amp is perfect for it. 1200-1500 watts is just right with the BP option that he's getting. BP option add 200-500 rms. so that makes the Q 1200-1500 rms. get the Q. My friend there is much more than just watts that breaks speakers, its idiots with volume knobs. He will most likely blow the Q, that is whey we recommend the BL as it will take the power better, and sound just as good as the Q considering his musical preferences. QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ. get a professional to adjust volume knobs and dont touch it. you'll be alright.

15" BL specs
- fi bl
- what amp?
not an option. i have an fi bl. so im looking for 1500. thanks anyway You don't need to use the full 2kW. Ever heard of a gain knob? gain control does not determine the maximum power that an amplifier can produce. As long as the preamp/drive signal has sufficient level, the amplifier will produce its maximum power output level. ... yes it does. That's how you Set your gain. To limit the maximum power output and match your input signal. So I'll assume you know what it is now, just not what it does. http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/499728.html read and learn. i know what it does. you dont. Riddle me this, What happens when your head unit is rated at 4V preout and you set the sensitivity knob to 8V? then that would make me a dumbass duh- what amp?
believe what you want but im telling you it will produce its maximum output http://www.bcae1.com/gaincon2.htm nuff sedd.- what amp?

i couldnt decide between memphis or rockford. so i just put memphis (just to vote). i heard the mojo m3 p3 and t2. after thinking about it i voted wrong. i would go rockford t2. reasons are i like the sound and the look better. the memphis looks too old school for me- what amp?
not an option. i have an fi bl. so im looking for 1500. thanks anyway For a BL you could pick up a SAE-1200D for $350 new, puts out 1500w i rather go saz-1500d. puts out 1800. and just keep my gains down- what amp?

Refurbished saz-1500d or new saz-1500d. the new one i can get for 600 and refurbished will be getting for 450. which should i choose? this is coming from db-r.com- help with choosing an amp!!!
no its actually rated at 1500w. fi underrates it on the site. so im actually putting an extra 300 on it. the bl is in between the q and the btl (RMS ~1500) If they publish the numbers on their site, don't you think it's what FI wants it rated as? Where did you get this "actually rated at 1500 watts?" no actually you are wrong. i got these numbers from nick (one of the people in charge over there)- help with choosing an amp!!!

The rear portion is 4", the total port length is 27.25" That box is just under 8 ft^3 tuned to just under 32 Hz. Should work great! Brian yeah i didnt know he was talking TOTAL length.- Box for 18" BL
OH I GOT IT!!! OMG. i was changing the port length 2 to 27.25 without realizing i was suppose to make that into the total port length. MY BAD YOU GOT IT RIGHT- Box for 18" BL
what do you mean? how did you get that? did you use the re calculator i used? Yep Re calculator man this is irritating me now. i put all the dimensions that he put and i still come out with 6.589 ft^3 and 27.123414313741 hz Tune it to 32hz and see what happens. i made port length 0 and it came out to 8.375. but didnt he say 27.25 for the length????- Box for 18" BL
wait why is the length for the port only 4? i thought he said 27.25???- Box for 18" BL

yeah thats why i said "the sae1200 is actually 1500 at 1 ohm." but i cant decide if 1800 will be better cuz bl is actually 1500 rms- help with choosing an amp!!!
ok thanks. anyone else?- help with choosing an amp!!!
i still got my fi bl 15" sitting in my room waiting to be installed into my 04 chevy colorado. my box is 3.9 ft^3 tuned @ 32 hz. i finally decided to go with sundown amps over rockford because i can get them cheaper. but i cant decide between the saz1500 or the sae1200. i can get the saz1500 $570 and the sae1200 for $350. i talked to jacob (sundown audio owner) and he said that the saz1500 is actually 1800 at 1 ohm and the sae1200 is actually 1500 at 1 ohm. will the bl be able to handle the saz1500? or should i just stick with the sae1200...plus its cheaper . im actually leaning towards the saz1500 but im afraid that it will be too much for my bl since im gonna be playing it daily. my bl has cooling option, is daily, dual 2 wiring down to 1 ohm. any opinions or comments are appreciated
