  1. Iraggi and tejcurrent were also "one-man" alt companies like Mechman and Signer, and they were "the shit" for about two years, until they started putting out shit product and then disappeared from the scene leaving hundreds of angry customers. Not saying this will be the case with Mechman and Singer, but anyone paying big bucks to a one-man company is taking a huge risk. DC Power isn't going anywhere, from what I hear they have big contracts from military customers and the like. So you have a local alt guy who makes brackets? Good for you! Want a cookie? Your cute. Think your cool defending DC and talking shit to me. From the threads I've seen on the forums, and from a friend of mine, paying DC power big money is a HUGE risk. There are so many threads, all the same story. They wait a month, start being ignored, then many months pass and NOTHING. My friend ordered 2 alts for his car. Three months later, nothing. We call from his phone, they don't answer. We call form another friends out of state number, they answers ring 1. We try again with the local number. No answer. He had to threaten to drive there to get an answer. And had to threaten a law suit to get his money. You want to defend that kind of business? Have at it.
  2. This: Took about 8 weeks, and is working awesomely well (I can pound 10k watts at idle on a V8 - 600-700 RPMs - without dropping to battery power). There's a REASON people wait for the products from the smaller companies. In fact, when it comes to alts, you have absolutely no choice. I can give you the name of a company that will built and fedex you a high-output alt in less than a week, advertised as 300 amps, that will not do even 50 amps at idle. Nobody's stopping you from walking into the nearest car audio shop and buying a 1500 watt JL Audio system for 5 grand. Well I'm glad yours worked out. But ok, Mechman, no 2 month wait on a single alt. Mike Singer, no two month wait either. My local Alt guy, 1-2 weeks for full custom brackets and alts.
  3. Wanna send me that SMD DD1 to use right quick? Looks sick man. All great equipment.
  4. Everything else is single layer right?
  5. I got a -2 on that post. lol Oh no. What now? It's the truth. 2-3 WEEKS, in no way means 2-3 MONTHS. I mean shit.
  6. Fucking DC Power failing again! Jesus Christ you guys suck.
  7. More power will come. Got a few other things to do first. Lol I don't need 10,000w to get loud.
  8. Here are a few more pictures. :-)
  9. I'm 6'4" 312Lbs. No one can ever guess my weight, always 40Lbs under. Don't worry about the number itself, only worry about the way you look. I know, sounds shallow or what have you, but its true. I'm willing to bet a very large portion of your weight is muscle from having go move the extra mass around. That's how I am. I have shrunk in pants size but went up in weight for years now. Lol
  10. Thanks everyone! I'm going to finish I up today. Carpet is waiting just need to clean the car now. Lol
  11. Oh OK. Never mind then. LOL Personally, based on power and music. I would 5³ after displacements, 80² port, tuned to 36Hz. Sub up port up. Port to one side either behind driver or behind passenger.
  12. Does it have to be 12"s? Why not 15"s? I know you want to sit someone in the rear but forget them. LOL I think you would benefit greatly in output by switching to 15"s.
  13. That's what I'm hoping for! Ill have low power for now, a single M3a @.5ohm. Ill get a second and run each strapped at 2ohm, so 1 ohm per amp, daily. And strapped at .5ohm, .25 per amp, for competitions. :-)
  14. Thanks! Ill get better pictures in the morning. Obviously it will look 100x better once we carpet it.
  15. I hope you are referring to 16²-18² of port PER cubic foot of airspace inside the enclosure. That isn't a whole lot of power for those woofers. I wouldn't be scarred to try a larger enclosure. I need some information first. 1: What type of music do you listen to? 2: What amplifier do you have? 3: What electrical modifications do you have? 4: Why do you want to run below 1ohm?
  16. As most of you know I had my DD 9518Z for sale. Well it sold, and I ordered two SSA ZCON 18"s for the PT. A good friend of mine and I started a "Team" but not a team. Lol. Were called "Southern Hertz". To get in our group wont be easy. But well worth it. Notice the shop I'm always working in LOL. This is just the start. :-) Well, I've always hated messy wiring, I know, I'm like the king of it. But it drives me crazy. So tonight. A friend and I decided to fix my issue. We started with this not to shabby. But could be better. Then went in order of these photos. Took everything out. Old amp rack. Batteries. All of it. Started work on amp rack/ battery box. Built it nice and strong. Putting it in. Nice fit. Wiring it all up. Mounting amps up. All done.
  17. Just texted my friend who in trying out some 8"s. He will probably pick some up. I know I would if I had the need for 8"s.
  18. Bad ass. I lived on the McGlynn Plantation in Saint Francisville, right next to the Myrtle's, and we always had shit happening. Never scary or dangerous. Just lights on/off, door open/shut, toilet flush, and random knocks.
  19. The setup I recommended is for SPL only. No music. Here is an example. A local friend of mine.
  20. This is a good idea, and could be another option. The only problem I could think of is my strut towers stick out about 6"-8" from each side leaving 36" in between, though i could move the box a little farther back. This has been proven to be the loudest SPL trunk setup.
  21. Wow..... sexy. I think my GF's car may need 4-6 of those in a bandpass.
  22. The AQ3500 is obviously different then the Crescendo. The AQ has dual inputs.
