How much 1/0 should I buy for the van? I was thinking about replacing the runs already in the van with new wire, so what 100' power and like 25' ground? Also, how thick speaker wire would you use for roughly 1000w per woofer? I figured 10awg speaker wire should suffice just fine. Although 8awg could happen if needed.

You didn't double power, a true double in power would lead to a higher voltage drop. I'd say turn amp up....

Few questions. What was the voltage drop with the 1,500? What is it now? Same ohm loads?

Kenwood has the best navigation by a LONG shot, just based off the fact they use Garmin for their GPS, and not some off name company.

Which harness do you have? The $20 harness or $140 harness?

Should be two wires inside the microphone wire, if you cut into the wire and connect the two smaller wires to speakers wires, in theory it should work just fine.

Is it human nature to take all forms of criticism and instantly assume the person giving the criticism is trying to insult you personally? I know I used to think that way, I no longer do and now it seems like, to me at least, that a lot of people think that even constructive criticism is insult based. When I try to help people, I try my best to make it seem like I am helping or at least trying to. But there is always someone who wants to assume I am just insulting them, even when I try to explain I am helping, they still think I am just trying to be mean towards them. I bring this up from a recent Facebook conversation where someone assumed I was trying to insult them and I never even said anything negative in the whole conversation. I just don't understand how some people think. I can now see where ///M5 comes from when he tells people things, he isn't trying to be mean but people just take it that way. I guess I communicate in the same fashion he does, or attempt to know as much at least. lol

When did I say I was straying from their recommendations? Do you mean tuning frequency? I'll probably be keeping it in the 36-37 range.. Surely straying from 32 to 36 won't cause the world to end.. Won't cause the world to end, but it may reduce the frequency range you can play.

Why do you now like ported boxes? Just wondering as many people don't like them until they have heard a proper ported box. As, most ported boxes, are built VERY wrong. lol I think, since it's obvious you are looking for output, a 18^3 box with a good amount of port would work great for you. But that's just my opinion.
