indeed the most of the trash talking going on about the new usamps is about hte xterminator (entry level) line and how they overrate them. the new merlins and ax seem to be very very solid and whoever has one seems to be uber happy with them i'm gonna have to buy a Merlin so i can send it around for another demo ring....I'd better git this one back.

heard the focals... the mid was freakin sweet but the tweeter wasnt all that. its very very harsh. I heard the morel doutech but not in an sq environment, but they kept up with a pair of RE 15's. Never heard the xxx in car but i found the tweeter to be a tad TOO soft, but the mid was sweet

TAKE THE SUB OUT AND PLAY IT FREE AIR sorry caps lock was on. while the sub is playing take a look at the cone/tinsel. if the tinsel is hitting the cone, then its slap. if you get some scratching, i think you might need a recone....or turn the gains down.
