  1. Frickin' cold weather ... ah well - at least I can get the ice rink going in the backyard. 6:58PN - No parcels. Wire HAS to be here tomorrow to meet Canada Posts standards. Oh and screw that snowplow ... my new one isn't going on with one pair of hands. - Steve
  2. Yeah ... it wasn't an option. 3:16PM - nothing here. Just snow ... and lots of it. Anyone want to help me put the plow on the front of the truck? I'm going to KO the person at customs over the phone. - Steve
  3. Monday ... November 1st ... 2004. 1:30PM. Amplifier - Day 14 Wire - Day 6 Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock. - Steve
  4. Nice man ... should be plenty until Spring time - Steve
  5. Try ebay? IIRC there was a place in California with them ... Audio Video Outlets or something. - Steve
  6. http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/1468 - if that's the same kit. Thanks for the link Trixter. I trim it down for now just to get it going (being careful not to arc it) and order one of those. IIRC, someone told me that they aren't the best solution since they cut down surface area or something of that nature. - Steve
  7. Got my packages today. Heh, I really didn't. I just want to practice. And I like hearing that. - Steve
  8. I bet it'll sound unreal in the Benz ... IIRC, those body styles have some good acoustics for SQ ... hint hint. - Steve

Heh, you probably thought I was talking about ports - you narrow minded so and so My amp shipped from SoundDomain in Seattle on October 14th. This was sent via USPS. Naturally, the packages get sent to Vancouver where customs sorts through them, checks for drugs and bombs, determines the appropriate charge (14.5% tax in my case), and then hands them off to Canada Post to go and deliver. 7-14 days is normal for something coming from the US via USPS Air Mail Parcel Post. As of right now, customs has a 150, 000 package backlog, which is absurd, and people have been waiting for up to 5 full weeks for their package. Seattle is only a couple hours from Vancouver. Vancouver is only 8 hours from my home. USPS works on Saturday. The amp shipped on a Thursday. The amp would have been at customs either Friday, or for sure on Saturday. October 29th (Friday) marked the 13th day the amp has been in the mail. Customs should take one or two days with a package. They have been fux0ring around with my package for 11 bloody days now. Let it be known, come Tuesday morning, if my package has not arrived on Monday ... if you work at customs, I suggest NOT answering my phone call. I'd just like to send out a big F CK YOU out to Canada Customs. - Steve
  10. Mine's built, and it's here. And it'll be used in-car next week. - Steve
  11. Over the past few years Memphis has really sumrised me with their subwoofers. - Steve

Welcome to the board - Steve
  13. I've been saving for something for a while now, it looks nice to me. However, there's other stuff that looks nice to me too. My brother saved up for a while and got something nice, now it's my turn biatch. Those wheels look frickin' cool, along with the whole body - it flows so nicely. - Steve
  14. So the general concensus (I probably butchered that word) is ... Disconnect negative from battery. Connect all of the wires to the amp and head unit, including ground to chassis. Take positive, install fuseholder, connect it to the positive, put in the fuse, connect ground. Or do you do it vice versa, connect negative then put the fuse in? Fire 'er up. - Steve
  15. Judging by Termpro, etc ... seems like a lot of chit happened once again. - Steve
  16. I had the 2050 before I got my 2100 - awesome amp, small, but a tank. I was going to suggest taking a look at the MTX stuff, however I think their amps are just a little too large width wise. Same for the Phoenix Gold stuff. I remember a little blue Orion amp, forget the series, would have been perfect if the dimensions were good. - Steve
  17. I'd say that 8 will do well ... you should enjoy it. Should provide that extra kick. - Steve
  18. Thanks for the help. Numbers 6 and 52 seem to be popular among my friends. - Steve
  19. Do any of you guys follow the same routine over and over again when installing an amp? In what order do you plug in the wires? Detail always helps. eg: 1. Tear vehicle apart. 2. Run all wires. 3. Disconnect negative, then positive at battery. 4. Connect ground wire to amp. 5. Connect ground wire to frame. 6. Connect remote wire to amp. 7. Connect remote wire to HU. 8. Connect RCA to amp. 9. Connect RCA to HU. 10. Connect power wire to amp. 11. Connect negative to battery. 12. Connect positive amp wire and positive to battery. 13. Insert fuse. Just trying to generate some action here. - Steve
  20. No, the earliest I should have seen it would have been this past Thursday - which would have been just 7 shipping days. It had better not take 5 weeks to clear customs, or I'll fly off the handle. That mahogany looks amazing ... nice work Wish I had a HT setup like that. - Steve
  21. Bah that sucks. Ah well - next time Let's just pray that the customs doesn't take 5 weeks with my amp. - Steve
  22. I'll be watching ... naturally - Steve
  23. You can pick more than one - Steve
  24. Narrowed it down to 60. Tell me which ones you like the best. - Steve
  25. Is it as easy as me downloading those and doing it -- or do I need a specific program to be able to use them? Just because there are quite a few I like there - so I really don't want to have you do all of that. - Steve
