Welcome to the IHoP
No kidding? I haven't been able to do much research on the topic lately. Good to know the newer MB's are a PITA. Naturally I would be using dedicated winter tires in the winter. Guess I'll have to look into the 3 series a little more. Problem is, the other half loves the styling (front end, mainly) of the '06/'07 C230-C350. Too bad they have issues - the looks would've made her happy, and the price point was good enough for me. In all reality, the CLK350 and E350 are in the price range. She sees more practicality out of a sedan than a coupe, so that is what we'll wind up with eventually. The 335i seems like a good bet. But, it's "ugly" and "looks sad" ... All I know is that I won't be going with something domestic car wise in the near future.

How are lower-mid line coupes/sedans from Mercedes / BMW in the snow? Canadian snow, eh ... not "we're shutting the city down today because we got 1/4" of snow" snow.

DVD Recorders
I believe there are, but I will not be needing to burn copies of the shows. Just watch, and delete.

DVD Recorders
Something I can record TV shows onto similar to a VCR. I assumed a DVD recorder was just a VCR replacement giving you two options: 1) record TV shows to a DVD-RW or 2) record TV shows onto a hard drive.

Any new 2008 cars your excited about??
I'm going to push real hard to get one of those in my driveway. In that color, too.

DVD Recorders
Like a TiVo? How exactly does that work? The price tag seems hefty and I am unsure about the "monthly, 1, 2, or 3 year" service plan thing. Sorry ... I was born when VCR's were still expensive.

DVD Recorders
I am going to put this here since it somewhat relates. What is everyone using? I will be purchasing one soon ... missing some TV shows/sports games on nights that I stay at work late is not going to cut it anymore, and I do not want a VCR. I have not read into them much. I just want something fairly basic with a small-medium sized HD that is capable of 10+ hours at the very minimum.

Welcome to the IHoP
Outlook gave me a notice today that a bunch of my certifications require renewal early next year. I try to schedule a week or two every three years to re-cert (aka spend a shitload of money for nothing) the certifications that need to be updated. Nothing like spending a ton of money just so I can add fifteen different combinations of letters to the end of my name. Oh well. In all reality you spend $20-$50K to add BA or BSc to your name and all you get is some lame piece of paper and STD's I mean a well-rounded education

If I knew, I would have paid you to pick up an external and a thumbdrive for me.

Welcome to the IHoP
what exactly are you trying to do with those two equations? Add them together (y1+y2 = ). I expanded them out using the trig identity.
-
Welcome to the IHoP
I start with y1 = 2sin(3t - x) and y2 = 2sin (3t + x) ... I had just expanded them out. I was just unsure if they were treated as one term or if you added them.

Welcome to the IHoP
I want to say me, but I have a feeling this is not going to be fun ... I would not have asked who the math guy was if I had seen your name at the bottom of the screen! It is pretty simple, I am just not sure which answer is correct. 2(sin3tcosx - sinxcos3t) + 2(sin3tcosx + sinxcos3t) = ? The -sinxcos3t and +sinxcos3t cancel from what I can see ... so I am left with either 4sin6tcos2x or 4sin3tcosx ... I think. Normally I just have to plug stuff into SPSS and it does the work for me It's been a long time since I took a math class.

I think I'm royally screwing some data up. I wind up with a standard deviation of 2.85 and somehow I really do not think that is correct. The average is 3.39 ... meant to be compared to 4.186. - Now Playing!
