well the time is aproaching. '06 seasoon ends in 4 months and my senior year (and project) starts in about the same time too. I will be running in Street B, equiptment is as follows. OEM TC9 w/ Death Penalty Recone 15" Starting the season with a BX1205D and as i earn money (or if i save nough over the summer) and then i will have around $300 for another amp. I have a 2000 Mazda B3000 Ext Cab 4dr, Will be running either an Optima Yellow top of Blue Top. Set me a goal. I'll have a sticker made up saying "Powered By TeamSSA" and put it across my back windsheild if i hit it. My GF's Uncle used to be a part of Team Kicker and before that Team Roxfor Fosgate. He said if i want to get louder, he can hook me up. Im going to talk to him about what kind of deals i can get on amps from him.

SQ to teh maximum found my trim ring and another GMC 1500 Ext cab box. Same plans, Slightly taller, for 2 w0 10's. 1.9cuft@36Hz uncorrected so like 34Hz corrected only charging the dude 80 bucks. I need to rework my prices. either way i already had the glue, screws, and wood left over from amanda's system...so im making out with like 60 bucks. so far ive only put a lil over 2hrs in here and there and i figure maybe 2 more hrs of work work...so that is double what i get paid at my job and its untaxable. Im not complaining for this one. plus he is one of my soccer buddies.

x eleventeen^3 Type R is no competition for all out SPL agianse even a DD 3500. SX is louder and so is the old XXX. and we are talking about for all out SPL here. On top of that the SX and XXX pwn the Type R in SQ. They are so popular because they are decently loud for a low price but they arent louder than a $350 SPL driver a $300 daily beater for sure. you will NEVER see the likes of dB drag winners running anything alpine except head units. You will see alot of SoloX's, MT's, and Memphis w/e their SPL sub is (not a memphis fan) but no Type R's in competition winning vehicles. dB Drag > MECA. Seriosuly, who meters with the door open in the kick...like your head is anywhere near the kick. In the fernindina beach comp i went to i over heard some guy talking about how loud he was with his type R's, pulled a pretty good low 140 in street A or B. Team Kicker came in whipped his ass by like 8dB and they wherent even running full tilt.

i only have a Circular saw, jig saw, 1/3 sheet sander, and a drill (not even courdless). When building an enclosure the hardest thing to do is to slow down and think about what you are doing. I'm 16 and i was able to build boxes from my own ideas like that after the 3rd or 4th, able to perform like that on the 1st. Wasnt the prettiest box in the world, but it worked. I used RE's design and put slots in it to change tuning when i desire. Get someone to do the plans, tell them it is for SPL and you want changeable tuning by interchangable plug ports, if they know WTF they are doing they can do it. Contact w/e his name is on TeamToxicBass. I can guarontee you he will hook ou up in one way or another. He asks for like a $15 donation and you just tell him what you want in what vehicle and with what speaks in what space and he designs great enclosures for your application. there are a few members on here (neonrider for one) which design enclousures as well. talk to them. Once you have the plans its jsut cut and connect the wood.

you can build your own box for less than 100 if you have decent carpentry skills. interchaneable plugs = all thread makes great studs, 6 nuts and some lock washers and i can tune to w/e i want and access the inside of the box for w/e reson i may have.
