  1. A 1x meet would be cool and the end of October FTW!.
  2. Isnt the chassis design loosely bassed on the Elise? Or is that hear say? Either way they look good as hell.
  3. I'd imagine so. May want to move up to a pair of 8" aero ports...I'm working on a good mold that is reusable right now.
  4. Heh, I'd like to pick up one of their nice componet sets. I'd just like a nice componet set. The girl teases me because I salivate over a $1200 Diamond Audio set at the local shop. Complete with actice Xovers and Mohogony (sp?) case with with purple velvet inside.
  5. OK, well I got lazy and got tired of doing the impeadance graph, I'll pick that up next week. INSTEAD! I did something even more funner! I grabbed my dad's cheapo Pyle amp, hooked it up and put these in 0.75cuft enclosures, disconnected the woofers inside the JBL's and placed the enclosures for the mids on the floor with the pyle only running them to 2,000Hz. I have to say these things do damn decent. They sounded nice and clear as far as clear midbass goes. Reletively loud as well. They didnt extend as low as I would like them to but the enclosure was proably way too large. Some noteable cons where beats in the 100Hz range where less intense. Not really noticable in anything but monotone rap beats but it was there. All in all, SQ wise, so far, these can not be beat for $16. Very compareable to my JBL's and these are sealed in chitty (ghettofied) enclosures where as the JBL's are in nice, ported enclosures to reenforce the low end. I'll get some pics this afternoon. If not saturday evening. I'm going out of town tonight and for most of tomarrow.
  6. Looks sexy as hell. In the far future I am planning on doing a very low profile install in my truck and regain my back seats... as in next summer. I was thinking about glassing two 12's into the rear doors and using the door as the enclousre and port them. If these turn out to be good, They are a deffanite possibility as I only have 6" depth in the door.
  7. Looking for a smiley to fit the bill I hop to Gimp.
  8. 4.5 vented in my truck.
  9. I never throught polk or DEI was all to amazing in the first place.
  10. Hop on over to DIYaudio.com and check out the for sale section they go crazy insane with building amps. They often have some sort of deal going on boards, sinks, cases, etc...
  11. better than china yea wat really got me was the price.. i mean 125 for a set of comps aint bad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My RE RE componet set was only $130. BTW, I'm geussing you havent heard the story about ben's korea excuse with a certian preorder of amps that happened to never show up?
  12. By The Way...shawn has a few treats for us if its on a date he is open on including a taste of a little Fi.
  13. Changed, waiting to see if it is 100% too soon but right now shawn is in england and wont be back in time for 9/30. Another date I am throwing out is 10/21.
  14. OK I finally have some dates. All of my saturdays are jammed packed with cross country. If we do a meet close to my house I am open to Sept 30th. Shawn Flemming said he will let us use his Term Lab if the date is kosher with his schedule. I'm going to run 9/30 by him and see if its good. How many people could make it to the Lake City or Gaisnsville area on 9/30? if we can get 10+ people I think we will shoot for that.
  15. NP: Take it to the house - Trick Daddy Slip an slide, get loose. Mo' punch than a bowl of juice.

  18. The first few pics you couldnt really tell what it was untill you started taking shots from the back. I assumed it was an astro from the short ugly crammed enginebay.
  19. But you would also go on vacation. I'm talking about taking a vacation and you just 'happened' to pick an SI Mag up while you where over. Round trip plane ticket would probably be $4-$500 through a nicer airline in a nicer seating section.
  20. How much more power do you think you will gain by cooling the coils? Powe handleing? Isnt it possible that the AC "vents" will act like leaks in the box or are you going to shut them off some how just before burps. Astro vans do have one hell of a cooling system though. My dad's used to get so cold there would be condensation on the outside of the vehicle. I would need a jacket and a blanket on road trips if I sat in the back under that AC unit.
  21. Pfft. n00bx. Welcome. I want to molest 70% of your projects.
  22. Oh and at $150 USD it is almost worth taking a trip to the states and happening to pick one up while you where over here and taking it back on the plane free. Then claiming a much lower price through customs and therefor paying much less tax.
  23. Sell the mag at MSRP + Cost of shipment and leave it at that. Either way that is an excelent idea to expand your market to forien countries.
