  1. Run the big 3 first & YellowTop in the back. If your voltage is good, then no need for an alt.
  2. AQ 2200D. It's $389 shipped & puts out rated wattage.
  3. You could always wire the amp down to 5Ω. But, I don't know if those subs can handle it...Never really looked into them.
  4. also, just in case you haven't seen iamamp3pimp's set up here: That's about 4000wRMS to each. Unless he has them wired at .5Ω. If so, then he has more going to them than that. Those are the LV5s.
  5. Email or PM rusty for info. He's quick w/ replies. I don't think your supposed to give out the prices so I can't tell you. But, I will say this, it is pretty close to the cost of an AQ HDC3 aluminum coil.
  6. yes it would. But I have read where people used an AQ1200d amp & then swapped to a AQ2200d amp & got a 3db increase. I don't know for sure whether or not this is true. So I'd say use your amp for now, then upgrade if you're not satisfied.
  7. That doesn't mean too much lol. That's at rated wattage for one thing. When both the AQ & the DC can take twice their rated wattage. Plus, I'll state it once more, it's just about all in the install.
  8. You're going to get vids of this right?
  9. These are not the right questions to ask. It's ALL ABOUT INSTALLATION. Plus, I hate to break it to you or make your equipment sound bad, but that Hifonics does not put out rated power. Personally, I think I'd take a DC LV4XL over either.
  10. haha sundown over priced... lol ... all i can say about everything i heard of sundown amps... especially seeing marks use of them is quality... ever penny is worth it im sure.. so yeah they are alittle more than average.. who said car audio was cheap??? ill run some later when i get the funds.. What to the Brith Sheets look like for thouse sundown amps.. Is the power more than what they say it is??? I think it's like 3200wRMS. There's a topic in the Sundown section somewhere w/ all the tests w/ diff. voltages. I forgot what voltage the 3200wRMS was at.
  11. Yes, the alum. coils are better but you really don't need them. You could buy the copper coils & save some money to buy wiring. Most ppl will tell you, that if you're not putting over 2k RMS in one, stick w/ the copper. Now, if you plan on upgrading your amp after a while then get alum or just get it if you prefer 100% American parts.
  12. I think you should have saved some money & bought the copper coils. People normally buy the aluminum when putting over 2.5k+ RMS into it. That Hifonics is only going to put like 1600ish in it maybe? I don't know, someone else could tell you. Anyways, what do you mean by wire size? Do you mean power wire or speaker wire? If speaker wire, I say go w/ some Knu Kasa 10awg wire. If power wire, just get some Knu flex 1/0. BTW, I would suggest getting an extra battery in the back vs a capacitor if you can afford it. Also, have you done the Big 3?
  13. haha nope. I got about 2k saved up & need some more lol. I plan to purchase this all at once.
  14. Yea, I know. What size should I use? Do I also need them b/t each of the back two batts? Do I also need them b/t the batts & amps?
  15. I know I need to fuse b/t front battery & 2 back batts. What size fuse should I have? Also, should I fuse anywhere else?
  16. that depends what ohm load your sub is... dual or single and what your goal is for ohm load at the amp. What he said.
  17. lol... Sundown overpriced? Do your homework first. They might be expensive, but every penny is worth it.
  18. What size alt? Have you done the big 3? There's really no way for us to be fully sure. You must run it how it is & see what your voltage drop is. If it says moderately high, then you're set. If not, try adding another Kenitek under the hood. Then if it is still to low, add another in the rear.
  19. Here? http://www.monstercable.com/mpc/productPag...mp;section=four
  20. well, I'm also on a Mac & I can use Safari to checkout but not on Firefox. That's weird. First time I've had this issue & it worked w/ FF a month ago probably.
  21. yeah, I missed that last one on the bottom.
  22. ^^^ Well how many is that? I can only count like 22 but how high of a stack is that?
