In person the older models dont look bad at all. For the price they can't be beat. Even still all that gold was just not a good mix. The new Black and Gold looks way better. Indeed. Maybe in YOUR opinion.

Thats a good idea. Before I purchase my second D3100 I am going to monitor my voltage and determine from there.

am I the only one on here with this amp? I couldnt be more happier with my Crescendo 5500. All I have for electrical SO FAR is a stock alt (getting a new 320 DC XP) soon and a D3100. As of right now I get bad voltage drop. Plan on finishing the big three and another 3100 if I need it in the future. From the overall finish of the amp all the way to the remote I am absolutely satisfied. (The crescendo remote controller is actually a good size compared to the itty bitty small Sundown one). After having issues with Sundown amps I am glad I made the switch over to Crescendo even for my four channel.

To be honest I hardly notice it. Its a real quick squeek noise that is hardly noticeable. If I am driving with my windows down and turn on my deck you would not be able to hear it.
Its not even a pop. It's more of a high noise for a split second.
I just purchased one on SMD for 150.
Awesome! That will be a real head turner.
Where to? I am moving to my grandmas, only a 10 minute drive away. Have been here for 20 years. I HATE change.
