  2. above post ... also see if the knovking felt is still in place on the rear side of the cone . if those things are done and the rattle remains it could be the soldering of the tinselleads under the dustcap , , it can be repaired but you will need some CA glue .
  3. WTF did happen ? not expecting an answer .... but that is what a lot of people (like me) are going to think
  4. DAMN ... i was expecting pics ! tuned in also
  5. why do you you wanna build something on that motor ?
  6. nice car ! great comps ! awesomome sub ! Hope you put some effort in your build and not just be someone that throws money at it and be done with it !
  7. bringing this thread back ! enjoy .
  8. you need to post up your amp settings ... something's off
  9. maybe something went wrong when magnetising the magnets ... alltough that would be highly unlikeky to happen and even more so happening twice in a row... but just to be sure I'd check it , and if thats okay try to test the subs one coil wired at a time did you try another amp ? or other wires ?
  10. looks good , now I wanna know if its LOUD !
  11. I'm no expert in this , for my work I need to take pictures in dark and/or unevenly lit spaces , we went from a fujifilm finefix to a canon eos 1000d ... it was just not user friendly ,making a good picture was timeconsuming and dificult so we went back to a fujifilm finepix hs30exr which we are very content with
  12. Why not build a new box and tune a bit lower ? 40Hz is a bit high for daily listening .
  13. Yes . If you bought the BTL new you should know , it will loosen up with playing. Fi's box recommendation will work just fine.
  14. damn .. i think I´m just tyred ...the word `impedance just didn´t cross my mind` ...
  15. Hi all , I´d like to know if it matters at what voltage an amplifier makes their wattage .. is it more difficult to make an amplifier that has an higher voltage output , say 100Volts vs. 200Volts to keep amperage lower ,and why ? are the coils of drivers calulated to take a certain ratio of watts and amps ? do amplifiers of different brands but but same output have about the same voltage and amp output or are there big differences ? writing this I realize these questions sound pretty nooby , but I´ve never heard anybody talk about this ,while I´d think that it would matter , or at least on the high power amplifiers .... or are the amperages still so low it just doesn´t matter ? thanks .
  16. just keep in mind those guys need to make a dollar too !! or else they end up broke!!!!! like you
  17. I've missed threads like these on SSA ... glad you're back
  18. why 12.9 ? strongest stuff I know of that doesnt rust are studbolts with rolled tread (vs cut) used in the chemical industry, and I'd recommend a tough steel rather than a hard steel (but I'm no exert on this field) I'd contact a company like this http://www.fluidsealingproducts.com/stud_bolts.html
  19. too bad I havent been following this topic , great build and awesome numbers for the power its on
  20. I also like the idea but using a smartphone ore the likes of it behind the steeringwheel is a 400 dollar fine if they catch you over here (but I'm in europe) ... so I wouln't recommend it to someone to someone where I live ... unless they're not like me ... I'm skipping songs and/or albums all the time .
  21. those are the old ones ....
