finnaly got a hold of the man himself, and he gave me some tips on checking everything i will be doing this when i get home, im sure thats the problem. at least i hope so i wanna hear my subs at 14volts!!!! he thinks that the alt is not turning on at all.

i just checked it is plugged in, im pretty sure the alt is working because if i listen to music it can drop to 10 volts then back up to 11, so im not listening to my subs i dont wanna screw up the amp.

all connections are tight, and belt is very tight. im going to call but they are not open yet. thanks

Well it took me forever but i got my 250 amp Mechman alt in this weekend, had to get a different size belt to run it... well problem is my car is sitting at 11 - 11.3 volts!!!! even with the stock alt it would hit 14... i dropped a pretty penny on this, and its way worse than my stock. i have had the big 3 on for 6 months. is this bad for my car? i have a long road trip coming up ion a couple weeks and this needs to be fixed. whats my problem????

no not at all, i used wood glue and then silicone caulk for all the seams...

i dont think powdercoating would be a good idea it keeps in heat!!!

sealed boxes are simple if you have some tools you can make it yourself on a long day

i think i have a 300 amp fuse right by the battery with 1/0 gauge wire. i have the same set up you will NOT be dissapointed!

You should always have the same size ground and power wire!

sundown amps work well at 1ohm my amp dosent even get that hot. Weather you run it at 1 or 4 ohms your still looking for the same amount of watts im pretty sure 1k watts at 1 ohm would be just as hard on your electrical as 1k at 4 ohms
