  1. Why would you clamp and then screw? Srewing it together is only if u don't have clamps that are big enough. Screws make the wood weaker, predrill first if u don't have clamps and then put glue on it and then screw it together.
  2. Don't worry about the windshield nothing will happen to it. EDIT: lol Mr Bojangles, it's a joke.
  3. Buy a battery charger and batts. Or use a other power supply.
  4. It's sort of a 6th order BP, but no need to account for that. How did you figure out cabin tuning? And you can't really measure cabin gain with equipment that costs under thousends of dollars. You can easily find cabin resonance, but that's not really important for you're goals.
  5. Why would you play at full tilt at a stoplight? That's just asking for trouble.
  6. you got me. Im not advanced, but at least I do a little plotting, no? I dont know how to include boundary/room/cabin gain. Im willing to learn though.... He is just saying (in his way ) that you can't do that.
  7. 2 installs are never the same.
  8. I see too many screws... And are the ports just gleud down?
  9. I think because of the high motor force it should move a lot without needing to use a lot of power.
  10. Im not exact on what i want, but 28 is a little high Im talking to a trusted source on what i should tune to. lol ill get back to that hopefully soon! Lol, 28hz is high. I think 28hz is a bit too low.
  11. mayhems hellz ya! apx. 10 cu ft for the front (vented) chamber and apx. 20 cu ft for the rear (sealed) chamber. 2 10" ports. I'm sorry if i'm wrong, but don't you need to have a bigger ported chamber then the sealed chamber? I think i read that a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio get's good results. EDIT:cranberryyumyum, why are you a troll? No need to be so negative, if u haven't got any critisism that is usefull or nothing positive to say why say it?
  12. I don't really understand these kind of comments, but whatever. This is insanity at it's best. It's a joke. You know the whole big thing about Mckinnie saying that about his truck, right? Uhm, no, but i do know that there are a million of people on youtube saying that a truck is a stevemeade killer.
  13. I don't really understand these kind of comments, but whatever. This is insanity at it's best.
  14. So... have you tried how it sounds without the groun loop isolators?
  15. Another flea market company? I think some people will be surprised to see the brand.
  16. I would do the RE XXX, they have (waay) more excursion and can handle a great amount of power.
  17. 1) Not necessarily. One amp at 80% efficiency is exactly the same as two amps at 80% efficiency. 2) Not double. You can still do one run of 1/0 or similar to the back, then use a distribution block to go to the two amps. All you'd need is an extra couple feet of each wire. 3) No. If you strap amps, you only use one amp as the master, and that controls the output of both amps. Thus only one bass knob is needed. SAZ-2000 and SAZ-2500s both do optimum power at 1 ohm. Cut it in half (or 1000-1500) for a 2 ohm load. That why i used strikethrough, because the 1 amp option was wrong. >< Damn, i don't know what i was thinking yesterday. probably a few too much of these:
  18. Why would u guys recommend 2 amps for him? There are quite a few of negative points on using 2 amps. 1) 2 amps usually need more current. 2)You need double the amount of wire. 3)You have 2 bass knobs.(or else you need to modify a bass knob.) There are also a few advantages: Easier to hide the amps. Just seen that 2 of the SAZ1000 are cheaper. So i would do those two. But i would recommend the single amp for him. You can get a Sundwon SAZ-2000(if they are out already) or a SAZ-2500. Or even a Rockford Fostgate 2500.1.(but i don't know if that fits in you're price range.) But the kicker is also a good amp.
  19. What would removing the ground loop isolators do? Are they possibly flitering out some of the sound frequencies I've been looking for? Just try it, i have heared from a few people that had noise and they used those isolators and their midbass fell away. It's not that hard to remove them.
  20. 6000/4=1500w 9000/6=1500w :peepwall:
  21. Try removing the ground loop isolaters and then try again.(try it )
  22. It's just the alot that is doing that, it's normal with such a HO alt on a smaller engine.
  23. Well he has a Soundstream XXX. So know you guys know. Use something sharp and a bit strong, to clean of the big stuff. Then i use some sandpaper.(don't know if it's the best method, but it get's the job done)
  24. Does the Soundstream XXX uses XBL^2?
