  1. You attached you're TV wrong, you need to put the black feet inbetween the tv and the swivel thing.(i have the same tv) Nice ht.
  2. You're the worst spammer i know... Lol, Damn never knew it was such a nice driver.
  3. But that wouldn't matter with an in house receiver would it ? They will shut off automatically. Most will shut off when they are already clipping.
  4. Yes, you're right, bigger boxes= more efficient. smaller box=better mechanical power handling.
  5. I have the 40 inch LED 7series tv for almost a week, and it absolutely amazing on HD and on normal channels. The only negative point is that the images are too red.
  6. I know Sundown has very good quality woofers, even for this entry level sub: those cooling channels and 400w RMS rating are more then i would expect for a entry level sub even from sundown. They look really "clean" with the satin black finish, i also like that sundown offers 15 inch versions of the entry level sub, because most companies offer 10 or 12 inch subs as entry lvl.
  7. Looks like a quite big motor for a entry level subwoofer.
  8. The Btl won't handle 4600W RMS (mechanickly?)in a 8 cu ft box.Probably in a 5.5 or 6 cu ft box, but you wouldn't go larger then 6cu ft net.
  9. holy shiznit, that's nutz. The box is really good for SPL, with all those mods. EDIT: at what frequency?
  10. That's really nice . Why do you have that port configuration?
  11. Nice purchase, where are the pics?
  12. Could also be something in the amp, maybe the amp is vibrating so much something in the amp came loose.
  13. What do you mean not at full potential? How did you set the gains? Maybe the amp doesn't likes 11.8V or lower, and draws more current that's (probably) why it heats up and maybe clips and shuts itself off.

  15. A Vented pole piece is a "hole" at the bottom of you're sub, where you're motor is.
  16. dustcaps
  17. If you don't put the baffle at 90 degrees, but a bit less then you did. Does it sound better, or louder, or is it just for looks.
  18. Most speakers sound the best at half RMS, that's what i experienced with a lot of home speakers. If you only have 1/10 of the RMS of a conservately rated speaker going to you're speakers it's not going to sound as good as in case 1. In a HU you don't have a lot of power, that's no really good, you need a bit of headroom for best sound quality. Placement of a speaker is really important, in home audio or car audio, speaker placement is one of the most important things. The best speakers can sound bad if they aren't aligned well. Most speakers can sound kind of good if they are placed well and are running off a headunit. But it will sound better if you put an amp on the components or coax speakers.
  19. It hink he is trying to get 25 posts to get into the classifieds. Their already was a thread from him saying he couldn't get in the classifiedz.
  20. You could build a Tline tuned to 27 or 29 hz, and it will play down to 20 hz without a problem. And it will be very accurate to play music and watch movies, way more efficient then a ported box, so it would deffinetly be much louder then the 6.5 inch driver.
  21. Build a tline tuned to around 38-40hz. Or a sealed box, hits al the notes, but just not as loud as a ported box.
  22. Do a HO alternator(250 amps minimum), and a extra battery, the big 3, then it should be good enough.
  23. Out of you're list the GroundZero is the best one. Or you can get two Fi SSD 12inch for 179$ a piece.
