I take it noone think's this is a good idea? A. I think if it would improve the knowledge of the people who purchased the book. B. I think if it drew enough money, to support some type of SSA gathering's, It would help advertise the brand's on this forum such as, SSA, Sundown, Fi, IA etc. And most importantly the event would bring SSA member together to check each others setups out. And have a chance to get metered etc, get pointers. Sounds like a great idea to me. Maybe I'm just crazy, but when i'm taking a number 2, I would like to read about advanced enclosure's, Iron Law's etc

I have a Soundstream TRX 4.420,it puts out 70 watts rms x 4 channels @ 4 ohms, and 105 watts rms @2 ohms.------I have 2 sets of infinity's that run at 2 ohms,1 set of 6x9s rated at 105watts rms, and 1 set of 5 1/4 componets rated @ 75 watts rms. If I added 2 more sets and wired them together ass if it was 4 seperate dual voice coil subs in series each on there own channel would each speaker get 70 watts? or would each speaker get 35 watts? or would my amp burn up, even though it can run a 2 ohm load from running 8 speakers 2 for each channel? is this possible----------------Question #2 If this is a bad idea, and I probally will not do this anyway I was just wondering If this is possible, If I turn my front gain down alot, will it be safe running my 5 1/4's @ 2 Ohms? If the gain is turned down enough, will it put out less than 75 watts? I hear alot of people saying that gain is just a way to dial in your amp, and it can put out the same power regardless, if it is set to 8 volts, or 1 volt.

Two things currently when I turn my reciever way up my treble totally drowns the bass out, but mainly you can tell that the klipsch is tuned high so I want something that is Tuned way lower at like 20 hz. It's probally used about 60/40 movies/music I'm not worried about SPL in the room thats what the car is for

I have an idea that you guys should make a SSA.Com book, that has most of the pinned topics like setting gains etc, Iron Law's all that advanced discussion type of stuff, Theile Parameters, Enclosure Design, Different Formula's, Make it come with a SSA Test Tone CD, and maybe a limited edition SSA MultiMeter. But anyway with the Profit of buying this say for like $20 for a book or maybe like $10 for the PDF goes to organising a SSA SPL and SQ lane/carshow type of thing once or twice a year. You could also make it into a downloadable (for a fee) PDF. I mean all the information is already here. But everyone know's when you're on the toilet you want something to read right how about a Sound Solutions Audio Car Audio Encyclopedia?

Funny that you said that, because I went to a local shop that swore up and down that Fi was cheap and garbage and they made cheap products and how Great MTX was and how I should buy his MTX 9500's for some crazy price like $750 for a 12. I guess that's what I like about Fi The Price to Performance ratio is crazy. They may not be the best drivers. But I think they are for the price

Also what do you need for do it you're self tower speakers? I have all Infinity speakers right now, and I've had the system for about 4 year's and I'm starting to get a little bored, plus my main speakers are kinda weak on the bass. I would like to build a Tower speaker that can handle my reciever Bi amped at 220 watts each speaker. I would like to do either for the tweeter, a horn loaded or a ribbon or a ring radiator, How do you figure out the impedence of the speakers and powerhandling of them?? I just think it would be bad a$$ to have some monster tower speakers and home sub like, Chicken's towers and all those crown amps powering them

What exactly is a batt cap like the soundstream ones is this actually a battery with a cap attached to it or no?

yea but havent put in my soundstream 4.420 yet right now its a cheapo the 4.420 is rated at 70w x 4 rms @ 14.4volt and 105w x 4 rms @ 14.4 volt @ 2 ohms which is what infinitys run at 2 ohms, hopefully my car puts out 14.4 volts

And what is the difference between an active and passive system?

I'm just wondering what you guys do to have you're front stage keep up with your bass, cause I have Infinity 6x8 componets and the midrange is just not there when I got my bass on full tilt. So does everyone just get a custom door panel made and put a bunch of speakers in there or is there some speakers that can handle a lot of wattage or what? Maybe infinity perfects would be better I don't know I just want some really loud treble and midrange to keep up with 2 15's right behind me head

So does your highs and mids keep up with you're bass or at full tilt or does the bass still drown it out? Also if you were to have a bunch of speakers pointing up right behind a seat in a suv and then the subs pointing up behind the speakers in a suv would that cause cancelation?

What's peoples opinions on the HCCA's? I seen a website that sell's the 10's for $200 a pop I was thinking like 5 of those off a sundown 3500 would slap. (I'm debating on what to get for an SUV I don't even have yet lol)

How should it be wired?Like 0 Gauge from the Optima Batt Neg to the Kinetik batt neg, and 0 Gauge from the Optima Batt Pos to the Kinetik batt Pos? That would be Series wiring correct?Do I need a battery Isolater or a Relay?

If you're not competing in competition why would you need 4 18's, I say keep what ya got and go with 2 18's or 3 15's and that will be more enough for a daily driver

I have reference componets 5020cs and kappa 6x9's 692.9i's they sound pretty good but, I think the midrange is pretty quiet when listening to rap. For rock the mid's sound pretty good. Then again my head unit has only bass and treble control, so when I put in my 7 band parametric in maybe ill get some more mid's cause I like to have my 3000hz and 6000hz a little bit louder than the rest of the freq range. As it sounds right now when listening to rap with my bass being so loud all you can hear is 65hz and below ,and probally around 10,000-16,000 hz is way louder than the rest of the freq band, Then again when ya got two 15's like 1 1/2 foot away from you're ear off 1200rms in a huge ported box what do you expect lol

I wonder who will have the first 4 22" sub wall? They would have to put crazyINSANE in the dictionary- with the description of 4 22" subwoofers in a wall

I dont have a pic at the moment but lets just say for about 12 feet of cable it probally weighs 30 pounds, its a military jumper cable for tanks which all have 4 batterys and im not sure about the alt its not really all that impressive of alt like 160 amps or so batterys are 12.9 volts but overall in series parellel they run at 24 volts would make a bad a$$ system 24 volts, you ain't gettin no flex in a tank with 2 inch think armor

I have 0 gauge running from the bat to the dblock, yea i need to do the big 3 the only wire i have is 2/0 though i dont know if i can get it to fit lol. I dont know if you've ever seen a military slave cable but i got my hands on one and i think its gotta be 2/0 cause its way HEAVIER than my 0 gauge Alright so If i get a Kinetik battery do these have the gas's coming off of them or no? I take it I will cease to have voltage drop with a 2nd battery? This is a rather minor system im pushing like 1200 rms @ 4 ohms bass, and will be pushing 110 rms @ 2 ohms highs and mids x 4 Also the shop that did my box put a 150amp fuse next to my battery is this the right size for 0 gauge? shouldnt it be bigger like 220 or somethign?
