Okay this year I compete in DB Drag Street B, and SLAP S2. Next year I want to do street max 1-2 in DB Drag and SS1 in SLAP I currently have 2 vfl 150.1s I like them, but they just arent doing it for me on 14v. I want to get new amps in a few weeks, and hopefully use them next year too. I have a few in my mind I have been thinking of, but I wanted to see if anyone could chime in with some good, strong amps at 14v. Thanks.

Well we took the clamp and got the rise where I burped at, nowhere else. I also have 2 threaded steel rods in for bracing, 5/8" diameter. Port is tuned to about 52hz.

My box is 36w x 19 d x 15.5h Port is 5.5x14 and 13.75" long I burp at 49hz, which I have found is the loudest in testing. Initially, I had the subs wired to 1 ohm, and the total rise came to about 3 ohms. I then strapped the amps, and wired the subs together, to get a load of .25 to each amp. I went up about a db and a half from doing this. I want to get my rise lower, but have no idea where to start. If you guys have any ideas to help me, any would be appreciated.

For bracing, use threaded steel rods. Make sure you have bolts with locking washers on all 4 sides. Insides and outsides.

I like SLAP. They get you in and out. I have no other real comps around besides a few MECA, and Usuck and Isuck

God it is a major b!tch to get loud. I cant find the fright port or tuning freq. Everything is loudest at 46hz, no matter where I tune it at.

Its the original claw basket. Could it handle that amount of power for burps though?

How much could these handle for burps, and are they comparable to an SX for SPL? I have been offered a trade on my SXs for his Claw basket Mags. 2 12" for 2 12" Also I am burping with 6000w+

Its already bare metal. I guess it all depends on this new box. And I need lots more power too.

I remember reading that cuttin up the rear deck messes with the structural integrity of the car. Maybe Im wrong.

Thanks Yea I know. I plan on getting more power This box didnt turn out too good, but we hopefully have the best plans now. Will have results of it up by thursday

Do you mean a CRX box wont work or my SXs... Im lost... If I can beat this guy out of LI with 2 zapco 9.0s and 2 12" MTs Ill be happy. He has a 4runner and is at 154 outlaw, so around 151-152 legal. If the 20.1s ever get released, I might get 4 of those babies

2 12" SXs, 2 vr2000ds, 3 kinetik hc2400s, bigger 135 amp alternator. I just built a new box and will be testing it in the next couple days. The subs and port are facing forward, but I might try a modified CRX box. Subs or port firing through 6x9 holes off of glass, and then either subs/port firing forward. Im trying to get a 155 legal on the termlab. Trunk is bone dry. And I will be having lots of time on the mic so thats good. It turns out we had the port tuned too high. So hopefully we will see a gain of at least 3dbs, I hope more because that was with 1 battery before. Later on Im gonna switch to 2 vr4000ds, 2 opti4000ds, or 2 DDz1 if they ever get released. Oops. 99 Civic EX too.

Any competitors with a trunk here? So far I am at 147.4 legal on the term with no testing and a box with the wrong tuning. Anyone have an tips/hints?

^^^Turbos maybe hard to get, because they are soo backed up, and may be going out of business from what I hear.
