Big time bummer!!! The new windshield that I just had installed has a stress crack from improper installation! They can't replace it right away because the seal hasn't cured all the way. I was told if they pull it out now there will be some nice Dow sealant strings all over the inside and outside of my truck. I figure to hell with it, they know about the flaw so I'm gonna try to crack it all the way during Slamology!!! If it's not one thing it's another.........
  3. Trevor your builds are outstanding! Always coming up with some sweet ass designs. You're like our Willy Wonka, only with mobile audio...... People would pay just to sit and watch you work!
  4. Helps with port noise and it just looks badass. Oh yeah, throw some high gloss lacquer on there as it looks almost plastic...
  5. Harrison. About 15-20 minutes from Cincinnati.
  6. I get off work at 3:30 so after I get cleaned up a little I'll be on my way there for the Friday speed pass. It takes me 45minutes to an hour to get there so....I'd say I'll be there around 6 or 7est. Is Indiana still an hour behind Ohio? LOL DST? I always get confused being so close to the state line.

  11. In a roll over accident,(if God forbid it would ever happen.....) You'll want to use metal to secure the batteries. 60+ pounds isn't something I'd want to rip my head off in an accident. 12 or 14 gauge for the pan and strap should be fine. I have pics of a shelf I made for on my enclosure in my build log. I made it out of 3/16" black iron plate. (just b/c it was a shelf)
  12. X2 And welcome to the forum!
  13. Looks like some fun's a brewin' !! Wish I was close enough to help....
  14. I have 3 R/F T1500-1bd's, They are nice amps. Well built. Great power ratings. Here's my two cents if I was going to throw down some money....... R/F's slim T1500-1 needs an external fuse. No built in cooling fan, which is needed on these if ran at one ohm....(found out the hard way) Are capable of producing well over the 1500rms wattage listed at 14.4 volts. Stetsom V series has a small amp as well, Built in cooling fan (as I can tell on most models) Also needs external fuse. Priced cheaper than the R/F models. (as far as MSRP is concerned) The V series is rated around about or way higher rms wattege than the R/F models I've ever seen... If it were my money, I go with the Stetsom V series....

If you were gay the shit should flow easier....LOL (joking) What's wrong with the set up?
  17. Oh yeah..... I'd need a new amp to push em' though. Not sure on the size of subs 15's and 18's gobble up space quick! Oh god, now there's a seed planted in my brain! Thanks Mark..........LOL I only have a half a year to plan now!!!!
  18. Awwww....... The way you work with wood is an art. Ten thousand people could try this and never perfect it the way you have. Plus, it encourages new designs to be thought of. Anyone can build a box.....It takes a master to create a masterpiece. And I would be proud if people wanted to "copy" my designs, It would only mean that I'm doing something people actually like! You're like the Yoda of enclosure designs !!! All the rest of us aspire to do the great work that you do, or even to just come close.
  19. Nice truck! No stranger to danger, it's a Ranger!!!!! I was wondering where you put all the batteries. Obviously in the back...LOL I can't wait to see the new build.
  20. I'll work on it and post on up. It should be pretty cut and dry, and I'll add pics too. Heck it has to at least help somebody who want to try it. It's not an easy thing to master, but with good directions and practice, it should be easy to get down.
  21. As far as I know there are no more re-cone kits for these from Rockford Fosgate... I have one as well R/F Power HX2 15". It makes a great paper weight now though...LOL
  22. When I do flares, Set the saw at 11/16" deep and space the cut every 3/8" apart. 1/16 of material is plenty to form a perfect flare. any deeper and and you can snap the flare when forming. (trust me I've done my fair share of flared ports) A 3" radius is generally easy to work with. Also drill holes 5/8" deep, staggered on the lines. This will help the Poly Resin to fill the voids in the kerfs better by allowing air bubbles to escape an rise to the surface. If the cuts are too shallow you'll wind up with splitting along the kerf lines on your finished side. Also use a sacrificial piece of wood clamped to the bottom of the piece you are cutting the kerfs on. This will keep the panel flat and insure the depths of each cut are true and consistent. Oh, and like mentioned above PRACTICE first!!! ( I should do a complete write up on this, lately I've been seeing a ton of Q's about this)
  23. WoW! That's beefy!!
  24. Not the weirdest thing I've seen mounted to the ceiling..... But surely in the top 5!
