  1. IMO it will reduce the actual volume (because it takes up space) thus changing the tuning slightly. How much depends on how much polyfill you put in. It's really not a good idea to use this in a vented enclosure, unless you like fibers all over in you car.
  2. How should I go about draining the batteries back to 12-13v at rest? As they sit now they hover around 26v.....(not good I know) I fear that I may have screwed the AGM's up with extra voltage... I noticed the problem just today on the way home. I didn't want to strand my truck on the highway due to thieves... I had no choice but to drive it home.. Man this blows!!
  3. Well........ After trying 3 different meters... Still +26 volts!!! This wasn't even 6 months old yet!!!! Uggggghhhh...... I'm now yanking it out and replacing it with my stock alt.... No boom boom for me until I get this issue fixed.
  4. Are the screws slightly too long? They might be bottoming out before it gets snug.. My bud just leaves his off of his T1000-1bd...says he doesn't want to scratch it up..
  5. Almost forgot to add, It sat on a shelf for over a year, brand new never installed until a few months ago.... I thought something was funny by the way my truck started idling rough....
  6. When I installed my alt. it metered out at 14.9 at idle at 260amps. Driving home today I noticed the battery light came on... As soon as I pulled in the driveway I slapped a DMM to everything! Now on all my points I read 26.5 to 27.3 volts....WTF!!!!! I haven't touched a thing since I installed it. What in the hell would make this alt decide it now want to spit out almost twice the voltage? I'm yanking it out for now and putting in the stock alt...(I know it's good) I've had issues with this thing since day one with the annoying whine it puts out of the housing..... Besides the noise it worked excellent...UNTIL NOW!! Any advise would be nice if anyone has any input.. Thanks ahead of time, -Jason
  7. That's a nice weave on the wires! Too bad it's not insulated or that might make nice sub or power wire!LOL If it were to go on a sub....... well..... that sub would have to seriously throb!!!
  8. WoW! That's gotta be intense! So there's a lynch mob forming in Canada wanting to get a hold of the little white van!!! LOL One night there's going to be a knock at your door, and when you open it there's going to be half the town yelling at the same time..."Turn that shit down!!!" LOL (People with their heads bandaged from ceiling fans and pictures falling on them...) I know with my Icons, everytime there's a loud stereo complaint they stop at my house first! I've always been honest when they do stop by. Then I ask them if they want to hear it to compare...LOL The security guard said I shook his walls at his place, he lives an estimated 300+ yards away! I made my neighbor across the street spill a beer off his coffee table. He said it danced off the edge of the table...LOL
  9. Takes me about 35 min....LOL I'll venture down in August for sure! Maybe not this weekend but next...(if you aren't that busy for a few hours) I'll have to get directions from ya.
  10. Congrats man!!
  11. Man, I might have to make the trip to come down to see ya.... I'd like to see mine on that meter and see your insane install!!! It's been a little while since I've been down to Louisville, I think it's a little over an hour if I'm haulin' ass!!! LOL

This will never happen in our lifetimes.... What drug has ever been banned and then brought back? Alcohol is the only one. The gov. makes way too much money off it being illegal, plain and simple. It's a bummer I know but such is life. Don't believe the hype, for every person you know that smokes, there are about 10 that do not. Calling numbers to put your name on a petition just subjects yourself to unwanted soliciting. The text you got is a hoax......(just like most that are "poling questions") It's like a chain letter. Every time a new pres. gets elected this issue always comes up... It's not going to happen, so don't get your hopes up... Just look at what they're doing to tobacco...... Bud has far more cancer causing agents in it. The Surgeon General has cursed tobacco for years, weed has been cursed in the same way. Especially with Obama retooling the Healthcare System.... I'd love to see it be legal for all but the fact is, it just won't happen. No matter what number you call or who becomes president.
  13. The market is flooded with Bondo Brand Poly Resin..... Which is o.k. and will get the job done. Fleece, pantyhose, almost any material will work for contours. Mixing the hardener properly is the trick to a good F/G job. Too much hardener and the resin becomes very brittle, not enough hardener and the resin won't set correctly and become rubber like. Depending on applications there are a couple different types of poly resin. The thicker gel type is for vertical and overhead surfaces and the more liquid type is for horizontal surfaces. Home Depot or Lowes has Bondo brand in the same isles as caulk (usually near the paint dept.) As for the actual F/G material, there are different sizes of weave. The smaller, thinner weave is used for light duty applications. The thicker weave is used for heavy duty applications. You will also need something to "finish" the surfaces. Here is where I'd recommend a good body filler or glazing. Rage or Rage 2 is prob. one of the better brands to go with. IMO Bondo (most well known brand) works too. Most of these will come with a hardener as well. Just follow the directions and DO NOT mix up more than you can work with in a few minutes. Poly resins will gel up rather quickly in summer environments, this will make it nearly impossible to work with and will require a ton of sanding due to the globbing effect. Body fillers will set up fast to in summer heat.
  14. Chuggin' along nicely man!!!! Keep it up!
  15. Would work well as a powered sub in a home set-up...IMO I usually retire my old subs to the home stereo.
  16. This is turning out to be quite a play on words!!LOL Thesaurus to the rescue!!!! LMAO

  20. First, Thank you for your service to our country! Second, You have to start with a goal, then a few plans......(most will be failures) Like most have suggested above, it takes a lot of tinkering and the right equipment to get over 150db. Not saying it's impossible, just hard to do. Keeping the system from becoming a one note wonder is a task in itself. If it's going to be a daily driver system, then IMO 155+ is going to take more than what you've stated. Good luck once you get back from Iraq! Just remember to take a lot of pictures and post them up on here in a build log. After all, we all can learn new tricks.....and we love pics!!!!
  21. There's overspray all over the rear of my truck. A little buffing will take care of that though. I found out there's a lot of stuff around me that got painted. It had to be some local kids walking around because they hit and missed all over the place. No "tags" just random scribbles and lines. Simply put, they just wanted to destroy stuff and see the reactions of people. Well they got the attention of the local cops too!! LOL There's a curfew law but it's rarely enforce outside of the main drags. They better hope the cops get to them first b/c I know about a whole street full of people who will gladly get in line for a public lynching!!!
  22. I awoke this morning to find some lame ass kids decided to "paint the town gray".... They hit most of the signs in my little ville and put a nice stripe down the hood of my neighbors car. (she's an elderly woman) Upon further inspection of my truck I noticed it too had been a victim of a punk ass kids desire to show his ass to society....(if I catch em' out again ) So, in a stress induced panic I tried to save what little I could of my Team SSA sticker.(I just put the F'r on!!!!) I had to make a feeble attempt to re-color the blue with a Sharpie.. This didn't turn out so well. (bastards!) It looks horrible and I can't stand it when idiots ruin somebodies personal property for no reason at all.... Sorry, I had to vent about this.
  23. Sorry to hear that. I wish you and the family the best. Cancer is hard to battle, I lost my Grandfather to Lung Cancer when I was 6, and a close friend to Leukemia when I was 13.
  24. Dead dog! LOL
  25. I liked the blue too... doesn't match perfect but it still looks bad ass! LOL Wet app. is the way to go on these stickers for sure! Only took about 30-40 minutes to put on, and about half of that was drying with a hair dryer on high.
