What have I been up too ?
Nice pics Trevor! Lay that pipe! I bet that's a challenge to weld that close to the ground. How do the check that out in the field? Still by x-ray or do they use some other method?

To keep on topic: I know a lot of people keep little tricks under wraps while competing. Remember, everyone in the lanes are usually trying to beat one another & get that trophy. It's been my experience to look at what others are doing and wonder why they did what they did. Try to apply basic knowledge of physics into what you are doing. If it's a sealed up metering run and your leaking air, there's a loss of pressure.... I also fully agree with what was said earlier about the resonant frequencies of the vehicle & build which all play into the cabin space, i.e. "B" pillar wall, trunk build, basic enclosure laying below window line in cargo area....ect. Different layouts will yield different results. That's why you see most of the big players either have a meter or access to one all the time to test any modifications.- Burb build. 6- xfire 18s 6-ampere audio 3800s quad singer hair pins

Thank you David Still like new after all the beating it's taken. Had to jam some classics, Young Bleed & Paul Wall. I was going to play a scale from 30-50hz, but that kinda boring on video...lol- 05 sable 2 zcon 18s on 10k in b-pillar walll
Super cool! Can't wait to hear it when it's done.- 2~15" Icon's Build

Sweet! That garage is cranking out projects one after another!- Bass N Vape 3x Utah show
Love the editing & production of this video. Very cool!- Rear side hatch window loose from bass
Locktite on them studs will make sure it never happens again. Blue is probably better if you plan on never removing the glass.- 2~15" Icon's Build
For sure. I would love to meet up with you guys sometime. I always love to demo & meet fellow forum members.- 2~15" Icon's Build
Still to this day I have never heard anything as clean as this version of the Icon. In the right enclosure these things are like ear sex & get unbelievably loud! My last metering with two 15's on 3500 rms was a 150db @ 32hz!- SSA Racing and Audio Central PA
Sweet lord that's huge! Watch the dust & fumes in the air with that open flame. On many of the sites I'm on they use ones fed by natural gas. But that's usually a huge building. Regardless that looks like it's gonna cook you in that shop.- 2~15" Icon's Build
Holy crap this digs deep. I even get roof flex with one 15! It's been 2 days now on 2200 rms @ 2 ohm. I've been real careful not to have the over excursion that I had with the last set up. I gotta get a video of this up soon.- Another 6th order blowthrough, plexiglass, leds, all that shiz.
As far as an adhesive, it's insanely strong & flexible. It is a little on the expensive side. I do like it better than 100% silicone.- Another 6th order blowthrough, plexiglass, leds, all that shiz.

Thanks Trevor! Your advice a long time ago to try these out was the best piece of advice you ever gave me on a subwoofer. These icons are why I proudly represented SSA everywhere I ever went. If I had another chance to buy this identical model brand new I would do a build with 4 of these and do shows again.- 2~15" Icon's Build
The response on the older version of the icon is intensely accurate! After hearing numerous sizes of the redesigned icon I would have to honestly say the design should've never changed mechanically. I wish that I could get an identical recone for the one that I have now that I bent the coil on by being stupid & careless. I hope to get a video of this posted up soon. Aaron I hope you're open to the idea of bringing back this model of the icon. It truely is a masterpiece & I am very proud to own one!- 12" Icon ported enclosure pics inside!
Looks very nice. If you're going to try stain, you're gonna have to get rid of the saw burn on the edges. Not to mention if you want it to look furniture quality there is a load of prep work you're gonna need to do first. If it were me, I would prime & paint it. Maybe a texture coat to help hide any imperfections in the surface that gloss will amplify.- Another 6th order blowthrough, plexiglass, leds, all that shiz.
I really like your work. Keep the amazing projects coming!
