I understood the general consensus of most on here. That he was not knowledgeable, used whatever design he could get copied/ buy the cheapest. And was basically just drop shipping inferior quality "knock offs". With his branding on it... Rather than do any real r&d. Or source his own designs. Having asked some genuine questions about his products myself to no avail, it definitely did not give me confidence in him or his products.

When did they leave? As I just noticed they are no longer in the manufacturer section. And for what reason? If that is allowed to be answered. Just my curiosity here. That is all.
  3. Looking good. Acrylic paints are water based, and absorb moisture... Not good for wet sanding unfortunately. Nice too see you decided to go with and embrace the mistakes. Gives character to product for sure.

We could hold an airsoft gun out of the driver side window?? Close enough lol do it Anything else new with this? I guess... But only if the passenger is holding one too... And, more pics! Cool project for sure.

Turret mounted twin AA-12 fully automatic shotguns with 50 round drum mags on roof controlled electronically from passenger seat using an in dash mounted monitor and PlayStation style controller. That is my suggestion for a zav. Oh, and obviously using explosive rounds.
  6. A table saw is not necessary for enclosure building. I use a circular saw for my cuts. If you pick up a full sheet and don't have extra hands to help, wrangling it onto most home table saws is going to be very hard. If you don't have a steady hand and good eye with the circular saw then get a cut guide to run the saw with. You will be amazed how well this works. But you will want multiple work horses to support the sheet. Home depot, Lowes etc... Will not guarantee there cuts as being dead on. It's posted right by their cut area, all cuts are rough cuts and may be up to 1/4" off... Which as with my local Rona that has a digital panel saw and 2 staff that were carpenters who just work the cut shop, it's complete b.s. that the cuts they make are as off as they make them.
  7. the wife accidently closed my hand in the door of her old sentra she had a couple years ago. luckily it was near the top of the door where there is some play and it didn't really hurt that much, but she was in tears over feeling so bad about it. When I was a kid on a trip in Australia with my parents I somehow caught my wrist on the door latch getting out of a rental vehicle and gave myself a nice gash that narrowly missed the vein. It bled for quite some time too. Hope yours heals up quickly.
  8. Nice tat. Nice truck. Do you have a bed for it? Fleetside or step? Wish I had kept my dime. But no money time or room for it. If that's an everyday carry, get out and practice, practice, practice. Lots of people fail to fire pulling on a hard trigger forgetting to disengage their safety when the adrenaline kicks in. Make it ingrained second nature. And cute girl. Had to throw that in. She looks just like someone I used to work with who was a real sweetheart.

Must be nice to have money to toss away frivolously. Have always wanted to do this type of thing but never have the time/funds. That, and a ZAV should be big enough to run over zombies. You hit one or two with that and your going to get stuck on them. No good...
  10. Well, it's been a long while since I've updated this. Just have been too busy. Well, I still haven't picked up any color for this enclosure so it is installed in just primer. Here are some pics as it sits. Just too busy to work on it any more at the moment. How it looks from the back: Between the box and back seat showing connection to the amp. (folded passenger side of rear seat forward to get this pic): Showing the way it is secured to the vehicle to prevent movement: Just thought I should show how it sits now. Still no videos of it in action either.
  11. Well the mobile view is looking good on my phone. Only thing I could view is subwoofer cones so far. Keep at Q. It's definitely coming along.
  12. .x decibels ... Will be the deciding factor for winning a world championship or not ...seen it MANY times ... This is the same for SQ score cards too ... .xx means ALOT and most time a rejudge seen it THIS year at Finals ... I gained 1.25 points this year just by removing my wishield rear view mirror and retuning ...Something I learned THIS year at Finals ... And this is why many top competitors keep everything close to the cuff, and aren't fielding questions on online forums. Where decimal points mean so much, one cannot afford to give them away.
  13. Best design engineers or not, your willingness to openly and honestly answer questions is impeccable to say the least. And for this industry to hear someone say that the lesser cost of two options would be your suggestion as the seller even though you stand to make less money is amazing. Not many honest salesmen left in the world. Not to mention that as proprietor of your company you also have a vast wealth of technical knowledge, and are more than willing to share this and give insight freely speaks volumes to who you are as a person.
  14. With many it's also the "trade secrets" concept of not giving those competing against you anything to give them an edge... Why would I post up all of the little things I do that gain me the .x decibels each that together make the difference between me coming in 1st vs 4th? That being said I do not not personally compete, but years ago considered it. At the time I asked a forum member on sound illusions for some tips since he was running the exact same vehicle as me. He sent me a list of everything that gained him .1 db each (pass seat forward, floor mats out, etc...) After I told him what class I would be in (not his) and that I was in another country. And he did this through pm only.
  15. This has my vote for comment of the day. This disclaimer could probably prevent quite a few hurt feelings...

Its the fact that people give negatives based on opinion of the poster not on the content of the post. As said previously ratings should have a reason that you can attach to the rating that people can look at.
  17. welcome to the forum from a fellow canadian.
  18. i never realized releasing my inner evil would make my keyboard so sticky...
  19. how much would 6 of these cost in comparison to just adding a the single battery that they "act like"?
  20. Impious, nem, I had to 1 up both of you. Been too long since I've seen a funky pup reference used. All hail the mighty funky pup, destroyer of everything in it's path. The original beast sub. Best sub ever made. period.

already at another prison. Stepped down to a medium and not really enjoying it. Will probably take me another 6 months to get used to the open concept and amount of movement. The inmates get TV here as well, but they have to pay for the cable service and buy their own tv. It keeps them from constantly attacking us, so, meh, it's one more thing we can take away/hold against them for bad behaviour... Turning off power to a cell can be a great motivator to fall in line... What they called "deep seg" in the video, was called diss cells, no one ever called it deep seg, but then perhaps the tours should be being given by someone who worked in the jail, not an ex warden who spent most of her tenure off on training at regional and national...
  22. single wall with strategically placed bracing will be a lot lighter than doubling all the walls. that's where my vote would be...
  23. Okay, so the stetsom 2k5e is rated for 2500 watts @ 12.6v and 3300 watts @ 13.8v, depending on your electrical back up I would look at there is also the DLP customs MLD18 through the SSA store @ $395 each (in your 400/per price range for 2)(1500 watts/ea) If you were looking to do just one 18 you could always look at an SSA Evil 18 ($799 in the SSA Store)(3250 watts) Or if you wanted to go with a single 21" sub you could look at the 21" Judge from IA ($799 in the SSA store)(2500 watts) Then there is alway the option of looking at used gear...
  24. Well, as some on here know, Up until the end of last month I was a Correctional Officer at Kingston Penitentiary. Thought I'd share a link with everyone, has a couple video's of the inside in the article... Not all the info being told is very accurate however, but the videos do show the inside... http://globalnews.ca/news/877576/inside-kingston-penitentiary-tours-sold-out-within-hours/ Place had a very storied past, was a fun ride, loved working there.
