  1. Because everybody nowadays believe 1 ought should be as big as kicker or knukonceptz wire to be true 1 ought wire.
  2. I don't usually insult people personally, but when I do, I use proper grammar and spelling. I would like to request you leave this forum. You, and you undying love for SKAR's penis is quite annoying. :roflmao: haha hell naw but im with him ^^^^^
  3. you dont loose sound quality running an amp at 1 ohm versus 2 or 4 ohms, you will loose efficiency though. The box part is true, just doubt his 75% calculation. Of course the equipment he sells will be good for one another, why try to upsell what he doenst carry (a Mercedes dealer wont tell you to go get a BMW).
  4. I did too but just didnt have the motivation to try and make some odd-shapped grills to fit their 8" drivers. Im quite happy with my Neo-pro's, glad I got thrm but if I were to switch out in the future it would be a pair of B&C 10's. Them 8's any good on the lows? I think that is one concern many have...no doubt they hammer in the higher freq. Actually I was waiting for the neo 6.5s but they are taking too long and Mr sundown dont want to send me the proto;s. that being said I can get a pair of the eninense drivers for less then a single neo If your looking at getting a PA driver then they will not get low unless you go with a 10" driver or bigger, they will have punch but not that much midbass. Most of them can be played from 100hz on up, maybe 80hz but that depends on power levels, door size and volume control among other things.

  7. Yes Seleniums will be louder than your average components but your still gonna wanna run some tweeters with them regardless, just cause PA speakers are loud does not mean you should ignore the upper frequencies. To the OP the Eminators is just a marketing ploy from Eminence, looks likes the Seleniums but still has specs like the Alphas but not as good. If you dont like the Seleniums then you wont like the Eminence, they will be louder with less midbass. I think you should look at companies such as: B&C speakers, 18 Sound, Beyma, Faital Pro among others. They are more expensive but not geared just to get loud, sound way better than Eminence and Selenium by far.
  8. I just rode by The Parks Mall a minute ago, even though this month will be crazy for me I want to hear those SA subs you have.
  9. Which Eminence mids, from my understanding all there speakers are PA speakers so let us know what models your talking about. Unless your looking at the 10" Delta's or bigger drivers then yes most of them are just midrange drivers where the midbass is non-exisitent. They sound good and I used to run some, I have no experience with the new Eminators that they just released but even there specs are geared toward to PA speakers.
  10. Where are you at in Fort Worth, I stay in Arlington by the Cowboys stadium. Yeah I been looking to get up with a few people as well.
  11. What is your budget what voice coil option is the subwoofer?
  12. yes you are correct
  13. Excuse me? All I'm suggesting is to reach even more people, since they're considering doing this type of promotion again, they should send out a notice a few days, maybe even a week in advance on the site home page / newsletter subscriber base to really hype up the event and get people excited. You may be a forum faithful and you may want to keep these deals for yourself, but there's also a business side / product exposure that can be gained from this but hey, maybe you just don't get that. Oh and by the way, I've been watching the deals since Friday, so just like you I haven't missed a thing. I think they've been outstanding, especially the "Outrageous" deals that a few members have been able to catch. Unheard of. Thanks for your input! Or you should visit the site more often, or maybe even contribute to the site. Dont complain about a sale you missed regardless of the conditions. I dont want to keep these deals to myself, I could care less about sales. If I cant afford it at the regular price then I dont deserve it at the discounted price. My first comment wasnt even directed to you but thanks for feeling guilty
  14. great products and excellent customer service.
  15. Aaron there is really no need to explain yourself just shows how ungrateful and not thankful people really are. Its a shame really

If you have to ask then yes it is, how much are you willing to spend?
  17. What model? You should be running 1000rms each or up to 1250 if new style. No not really, you cant suggest what power he should give his subs until you know the enclosure size they are in. You probably have your subs wired to a lower ohm load than the amp is stable at or you dont have enough voltage to supply that amplifier. Check to find the problem before adding another amp.

Nice, I wish people would play a wide variety of music when showing woofers off in a video like you did.
  19. Cars are small plus you have a coupe, speakers in the front will be heard everywhere even if you do a competition car. To each its own but speakers in the front will be cheaper, less wiring and require the least amount of amplification so it will save you money to focus on the substage more. I know how you feel about speakers in the rear but at the end of day reality woke me up from my dream that the rear area of my car needed speakers.
  20. Dont be scared to ask a question before cutting, also take pictures to let us know what your talking about as well. We are willing to help as long as you take the time to inform us on why, how and where. I can honestly say that speakers in the rear create more noise so it seems louder and it actually is to the ear. But speakers up front will be your best bet, they will give you the best sound you can get and have great amounts of output. Dont worry about putting speakers all over the car just to be loud, instead get better speakers or speakers actually geared for more output than standard car audio speakers (PA mids/horns/tweets are the way to go). I used to have 20 interior speakers (6 tweeters and 14 coaxials) in my car so I know how it feels to think more is louder and it is actually true to an extent. 20 car audio mids and tweeters dont have the same output as 2 PA mids and supertweeters, trust me I know I been there. So like I said it depends on the equipment you have at the end of the day. Over the holiday I played around with my Bose system in my car to see the difference between the front speakers only and front/rear speakers. Yes with the front and rear playing it was louder, not a lot of clarity really (no distortion but just not as clear). You can actually tell its more noise being added into the sound. When I faded the sound to just the front speakers, it was crystal clear and sounded awesome. It helped me make up my mind on the front vs front/rear fill sound stage, I even changed my plans for my install. I was gonna do horns under the dash and 4 Sundown Neo-Pro 8's, one per door since I have a four door car. I decided do to just a pair of 8's in the each front door and the horns under the dash.
  21. You put your mids and highs together in the front like everyone else in car audio. Yes those super tweeters are loud anywhere in the car but you can tell the difference with how they are positioned or where they are positioned in the car. The reason the highs over took the rest of the system because you have super tweeters which will be louder than any car audio component set, that is why you see people running super tweeters with PA mids. Mixing brands makes no difference when it comes to speakers considering they will be covered up most of the time and you wont be able to see them, most people have mix matched mids and tweeters when going active. It seems like your just buying things and putting them in the car without even thinking it out first. Panels are cheap at the junk yard so you can go buy some more to replace the one's you cut holes in and find a spot to put the super tweeters in the front. You have the equipment to have a nice loud front stage, its just needs to be properly place and tuned right.
  22. So let me get this straight you traded a pair of components and supertweeters for mids and supertweeters. Why not just keep the first pair of super tweeters you had and only traded the component set for some mids, just curious. If you had to many highs then you should of just keep the components and sold the supertweeters. What are your goals out of this system, what are you trying to achieve? Why do you have the supertweeters in the back of the car, especially on the sides by the seats. If you cant fit them properly why do you have them if you dont mind me asking? I would try to find a space up front for them or just get some tweeters you can fit upfront.
