    and cool equipment
  2. Tapped into the factory wiring since the molex plug connectors were hard to get to. Driver side looks the same just with Blue and Red wires.
  3. Old dash bezel vs new one, bag full of wire harnessing.
  4. Slow process for the weekend, the whole dash has to come apart and I still have to rewire speakers from the factory wire to the new wire I ran awhile back. Once that is done I have to break out the laptop and fire the DSP (digital sound processor) up so I can tune my speakers.
  5. If your main battery is not an AGM battery I would personally upgrade that first then do the H/O Alt. But either way you should see some results.
  6. Also look into NorthStar batteries, what Ill be running in my build. Your vehicles' starting battery size is a Group 65.
  7. Use google or any site that sells batteries will let you know what fits your car.
  8. LPF is not car dependent. Usually is determined by your sub, enclosure, crossover settings for midbass speakers or personal preference.
  9. to the forum bro. Nice equipment so far, what all upgrades are you planning to do.
  10. Harbor freight has clamps but make sure not to overclamp as they can't handle it from my experience.
  11. Decided against using the amp board and just mounting my amp straight to box, I have vibration dampers that will go underneath the amp's feet. View of Front Stage Amp and DSP from trunk opening.
  12. Ran out of wire loom so I couldnt finish the battery to alternator positive run. I may switch out both db link fuse blocks under the hood for a dual fuse block for cleaner look.
  13. Long over due tint job. Front Doors - Ceramic 30% Rear Doors / Back Glass - Ceramic 5% Panoramic Sunroof - Ceramic 50%
  14. Ground wire is complete, covered in wire loom and two layers of electrical tape for protection. I also zip tied to keep the tape from unsticking together from the engine heat and Texas heat.
  15. Picked up some 2/0 welding cable for my H/O runs under the hood.
  16. Filled the back door with some Silver Flutes 6.5s just for the time being as Im working on my front doors, either a pair of 6.5s or a pair of 8s or a single 8. Either way the front doors will be getting glassed.
  17. Im upgrading the rear door speakers so I needed some speaker rings made. Didnt feel like waiting on hdpe board to get here since thats what my front door speaker rings are made of. Found some wood at work and used a co-workers jigsaw to make these, also covered with paint to match the door panel.
  18. I usually use a bolt that mounts my seats to the vehicle but decided to drill my own hole for my ground wire on my secondary battery in my trunk. Removed paint and primer to get that bare metal connection, used lock washers as well to keep it from vibrating loose. Sprayed black spray paint to cover up the bare metal and it will get covered with sound deadner in the future.
  19. SSA front stage amplifer is fully installed, here are a few updated pictures.
  20. I love the DSP but as a beginner to them its hard for me to give an in-depth review. For going active it's way easier and better than trying to use an amplifiers crossovers like I've down in the past. The Dayton does everything I need it to do and then some, there's still some features that I haven't used because Im still learning and researching. But for the money its a great device and simple to use. I was also looking at the JL TWK or Helix DSPs but decided to try to cheaper unit after researching them just to get my feet wet. If I ever upgraded it would be either of the units I mentioned above. But for now Im completely satisfied with no complaints. I took the tape and wire plastic wire loom off of the RCAs going to the 4 channel amp and ran them under the RCA connections. Looks way better just need to put cable ties on each end for aesthetics.
  21. Halfway installed, still have the power and ground wires to install for both the Amp and DSP. I also need to add some more wire tie downs and she will be complete. I also need to figure something out with the RCAs so they arent hanging over the DSP like that. Most labels have been removed since everything is hooked up now.
  22. Last DMM from walmart went bad so I needed a new one. I used it twice so far and love it, comes with two sets of leads.
