  1. This is one beautiful yet heavy amplifier for its size. Ill see if I can get it installed today during my lunch break.
  2. The US Acoustics Mike was sold and in search of a new sub amp for the Sp4, Im looking at either: Rockford Fosgate T2500-1bdCP, DD M3c or Ampere Audio 3800.1. Kinda wish SSA had a 3.5kw or 4kw amplifier coming out, Hint Hint @Aaron Clinton. But I did finally buy me a front stage amplifier and can't wait for it to get here. Also purchased a new DMM from Amazon too.
  3. back man What plans or equipment have you settled on so far?
  4. I love all the progress pictures man
  5. Dope equipment, I'm looking at that RF T2500.1 for my sub duty as well
  6. cant wait to see a build log and learn away.
  7. My previous box builder showed me what vibration pads that he uses. Upgrading amp mounts on board later on, these are Neoprene inner core with a rubber top and bottom, 2" x 2" and 1"thick. Got them at Grainger for $12 for all 4.
  8. Every forum has taken a hit to facebook and other social media sites. Sucks but some of us are still here.
  9. and nice equipment, I also have a DSP-408 not fully installed yet. Cant wait to see the build log and ask away.
  10. Havent heard either pair to recommend. Both are solid brands, flipping a coin may be easier. Whats your budget? Have you seen what the SSA store carries as well?

Im in Arlington, nice to see a fellow local basshead. Ask away and enjoy the community
  12. Welcome to the forum man. I think it has to do with image size but im not completely sure. I tried to change my profile picture with not too much success either.
  13. Still using factory amp, so same power. Sounded better than stock even before mods were even made to aftermarket speaker installation. Even in my older Acura on some power and no mods done to aftermarket speakers, some cheap coaxials were better than stock. I think it's crazy to tell someone upgrading speakers over stock is a waste because they don't have the budget you would use on your upgrades. Granted its not an SQ vehicle he is building.
  14. Not true at all. I replaced my stocks with SSA Evil 6.5s and SB Acoustic tweeters for around $200 and its way better than the stock speakers.
  15. @CrazyKenKid @ramteid
  16. Just a heads up. Usually in a car, subs facing towards the cabin with the trunk sealed off gives the best results and also reducing rattles. You can also do subs facing towards the cabin with trunk sealed off and port through rear deck. I think the second option will be my next build when I go back to dual 12"s. With this orientation you will still have room in the back of the trunk as well.

  18. Upgraded my puddle lights on the front doors, looks pretty cool
  19. Just some new tools that showed up this weekend, I have some more goodies coming this week too.
  20. Dont worry about power levels, you can always adjust your volume levels or output to balance your sound system. Some amp have bass knobs that can control how much bass ypu can induce into your system to level it all out among other factors.
