No one for the BTLs? Surprising !!! I'd better take a look at these ssd subs ! I never thought they were so loud. Cone area is not all that matters. But 2 18" have a LOT of cone area, for sure.

I understand that : you ordered right , you paid and got a wrong item. Now they tell you to go mesure with a DMM ! It's a pitty, but We're all humans and make mistakes. Send a message to IA, they will take care of you, for sure !!!

I have the same problem, but I'm sure it's a bad DMM !!! I lost a few euros with this cheap DMM, and I don't want to buy a bad one again. So far, I adjust my amps by ear : I try to avoid clipping with just my ears !!! Maybe I'll try a strong DMM someday!

How did you installed your speakers in your front doors ? Any deadening done ? Do you have wood ring (don't remember the right word)to hold the speakers ? You're still using your stock speakers upfront ? They don't have good midbass usually. An amplifier would let you play at higher volume without distortion. Work on your instal before buying any speakers. Good luck.

Very few people here will tell you to go for Kicker. There are dozens of subs in the market! If you just want to be loud, it's easy with 2000 watts rms. Do you really want to get rid of your backseats ? A ported box for 2 15"s is huge. For one 15 it can be around 5 cu ft gross. 1 sub is enough on 2000 watts, but you can have 2 if you got the room available. Look at Fi : bl (if you want 2 subs), btl(one sub)Incriminator Audio DP, DR,...DC audio LVL 4, 5 ?SSA Xcon ( not the loudest, but the most "ACCURATE") I run one, and I love it a lot more than my ex Kicker L7 S15Ascendant Audioand many moreTake your time to read all you can about these subs on this forum ! That is why I run ssa subs. I was in a kind of hurry, and got no response from Fi, and then I discovered ssa ! Still very happy. But I would like to try a Fi BTL someday !! Good luck

Your amp is still in the box ? Try it, play with it in your car. You will probably be very happy with it As I am with mine !!! I went from the saz1000 to the saz 1500 on my xcon, with the same box : the difference is very ... audible !!! You can feel it too !!! But that is a 50% increase of power. But, if you need to sell it later, people would want to see it play! They will want to be sure it works well. So : use it !!!!!!!!!!!

I read somewhere that the little saz 1000 d was discontinued. Is it true ? A friend of mine needs one more for his instal. Can he still buy one? He may not be ready to do so, but he really needs it. He already has 2 of them strapped running a 15" xcon, and he needs one more to strapp with his 3rd saz 1000 (that he bought from me !! ) He is building a demo car with 4 saz 1000, 2 15" xcons, and a lot of speakers in the front doors. He needs a 2nd JBL Crown (bpx 600.4) amp for his mids and highs. Everything will go in a small 2 doors Renault Clio. I will make a build log, of course !

I did not see this topic in time Sorry ! But why do you want to go from 2 18" to 2 12" ? You need room for groceries or a better gas mileage with less weight in the trunk ? For a demo car, 18" subs are more impressive, IMHO. I'm sure you will have an awesome box with PTS !!! I'm waiting for more.

I think I understand what you're saying. You can get the 12" and put it in the best & bigger box you can afford in your car. That will leave room for amps, batts,..., and groceries !!! I don't know your car, but if you can fit the 15" in with a right box, and still have room for amps...go for the 15" !!! The bigger, the better ! That's just my 2cents !

My choice fell on a RE XXX-18... The RL-p 18's wasn't in stock at that time, and I had a chance to try something new at a reasonable price. You could have tried the ssa xcon 18" !

I like the doors : what's in them ? an 8" midbass ans a full range smaller speaker ? no tweeters ? The bass must be insane in that car ! Show us more pics of the box, pleeeease !!
