What kind of music do you listen to ? BTL and Xcon are not made for the same goal. What are you looking for? You have enogh power for 2 Xcon : that setup should be great (for me! I don't know if it would be good for you!!). I can't tell you nothing on the Nightshades : never heared them. Anyway, it seems that you're going to be LOUD !!! Good luck

The Xcon combo ? wow!!! That's a great deal if you want the Best!!! I've heared the 15 Xcon on "just" 1200 watts, and now I know which sub I will buy next : an Xcon for sure !!!!!!!!!!!!! I love my 15 Icon on the sundown saz 1000, so, I will keep it with joy until I can afford the Xcon or the combo.

2 12's BL in a good box and with the good power on them would shake you and your car sooooooooo much !!!!!!!!! I'm sure we (all?) would love it !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I'm planning to do the big3 upgrade this week end, but I would like to have a secondary battery in my trunk. I don't know the size of my stock alternator, but I don't want to change it. I have 2 amplifiers with around 1200 watts rms. Someone here, told me that it would not be really good to buy a Honda civic size battery for either secondary or primary battery. What should I chose? It is not to play with the engine off for long time, just to have a little more power. What do you think? a secondary one (whicv one), or just a big primary one (which one) ? Thanks for your help. BTW : I have a XS batt dealer in my country, and he is really into caraudio!

He's not a Q buyer. x2 He is coming from 2 15L7 (with a very small amp) and he wants more now. There are so many subs out there in the world! But with 800 for the subs, you can have quite everything!!!!!!!! I can tell about L7, SSA Icons, and SSA Xcon : I have heared them all in 15'. The Icon is really great; you can't even compare it to the L7! The only L7 I liked were in huge boxes(6ft3 sealed). But the Xcon is fantastic : it gives everything you need (quality, AND big big big output) I love it !!!!!!!

Thanks a lot for your quick mail! What do you think would be better to set the gain on the speaker amp? I did it by ears, but what tone would be better if I want to use my DMM ? 1000 Hz? I thought it was good to use a 50 Hz tone to set the gain on the sub amp. Is it better to do it with a 32 Hz one?

Hello, I've been searching for a long time but what I found seems to be too light : not enough power when I burn it on a cd! Can you give some links, please? at least a 50 Hz test tone for the sub, and a 1000 Hz one for the speakers. BTW, do you all set the gains like that, or can you use some music instead ? Thanks

In résumé, what would be a good electrical upgrade for my car? without buying a ho alternator. Forget the fact that I want to play with engine off. 1) stock battery + a second in the trunk(which one?) 2) 2 new batteries : one under the hood, one in the trunk (the most expensive solution) 3) just a big one under the trunk (which one) I know my informations are not complete, sorry, but I have to check the stock battery and the stock alt.

Hello, I have about 1200 watts rms of power (1 sub and 2 speakers) in my car : one saz 1000 and (soon) an sax 50.4 bridged to my comp set. My power and ground are 0 gauge. I will very soon do the big 3 with all 0 ga. I would like to have more electrical power, in order to have maybe a 1500 or a 2000 watts amp for a next sub. What would be better ? Add a second battery in the trunk ? XS or Kinetic, like the small one they make for Honda civic. Or just replace the battery under the hood with a bigger one? always XS or Kinetic. I don't want to have a HO alternator, so I will keep the one I got. I don't remember how much amp it is, but my car has a Diesel engine, so the alternator is more powerful than a regular one. (hope I'm not wrong!!!). Please help me ! what can I do to play with engine off without using the hood battery if I use 2 batteries ? Thanks

I did not left the gain at max! No, no ! Eq was flat, like all settings, volume at 3/4. How to increase pre outs on the Pioneer 88prs? It's'the european model of the 880 prs (the last and black model). Maybe the DMM is not good enough. Can it be that I don't have a good enough electrical system? I am on stock battery, stock alternator,... The maximum voltage I can read on my voltmeter is 13,8 with sound off!!! BTW I've just found a local dealer of Kinetic and XS batteries : which one to buy, I don't know. Maybe I will buy the little one made for Honda Civic. What do you think of all that?

I tried to set the gains on some amps with a DMM and a test tone cd but I could not read the good values on the DMM. One of the Amps is an sax 1000 Sundown at 1 ohm : so I should read sqr(1000 x 1) = more than 30 volts. I don't remember the right number, but I had the good number when doing it. the maximum I read was 21.7 volts, withe knob to the max! What may be the problem? How can I do the good settings? The DMM is brand new, maybe it is a bad one. Hope not! So, I had to set it by ears. Help me, please!

Hello, I have a bad noise only when I play with the engine running. I was trying to unhook the sub from the amp, but I start to unscrew it with the sound playing ! my bad Something went wrong, I think the tool touched something wrong and I suddenly heard a bad "electric" noise. Now, when my system play withe engine off : no problem! Engine on : I can hear a sort of alternator noise if I don't crank it up. I can hear the noise of the direction lights in the front speakers! If I take off the rca's': no noise. I checked the grounds: no problem. I tried other rca's : same noise. It seems that the problem is coming from the hu : what do you think about that? I did not try another h u, so, I am not sure what to do. I'm waiting for your advices. Thanks

Just take an Xcon and the sae 1200 and you're good to go!
