  1. I would get a 2013 amplifier. Old school is cool, but...old, and with no warranty. There are very good amps avalable nowadays. Shipping to a military address should be cheaper than shipping to an international address like mine (I'm not an US citizen or soldier, and I don't live in a foreign country). Lots of companies can ship to you. I use Bongo International, now, and they're serious. Big thanks to SSA for this ! I can use them for anything I buy on the internet, in the USA.

Nice car for your daughter. I bet she likes it, and you must be proud to get a car for her. VW is reliable, and with all you did on the car, you can let your daughter drive it safely. She would agree for a Zcon ? Where did she caught that love for bass and car audio ?!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations.
  3. I guess this is not a sub, but a midrange speaker. I need two of them for my little home stereo. You nedd to live in a cathedral to run huge speakers like that !!!
  4. From what I can read on the internet, a good customer service is needed to sell Brazilian amps. Some have a bad reputation n the USA. I have, myself, a warranty issue with an amp, and I'm eally sacred BTW it's not a Taramps ! I like what you're trying to do with Taramps. Maybe I'll try them someday !
  5. DD is a reputable brand. They make good products. DC : I don't know what they worth. I wouldn't get one, but the may be good too For $200 a m2 seems to be a very good deal, if it's in good conditions. I wanted one recently, but ended getting an Incriminator Audio on sale !
  6. Can you send us the link, please ? I have heared a lot about those speakers. Xmas is coming...
  7. 30 lbs ? That's light ! No subs at all ?
  8. I bought a 3.4 and a 20.1 during the b&b sale. I received them quickly, with the new shipping system at SSA. My component set seems to love the 3.4 : the tweeters are marvellous ! I run it bridge on my speakers : big power on each passive filter This amp is soooo small : you can put it anywhere ! The 20.1 : how can a powerful beast like that can be so small ?!!! At 4 Ohms my sub (a DD 9515) was loud, but at 1 Ohm now, it's....much louder !!! No regret at all. My Sundown amps are still working, but I wanted some changes, and a bit more power. With the sale, it was like they offered the 3.4 for the purchase of a 20.1. GREAT DEALS !!!
  9. I want one now. Still available ? I have my Paypal ready ! I should have asked when I bought my 20.1 and my 3.4 recently BTW those amps are great : big power in small package, not too hard on my electrical.
  10. Those subs seem impressive ! Best of both worlds. Thanks for the feedback on them. Don't worry too much about those negative points. I don't know why they do this; but it's idiot ! Talking about wiring : I realized that my sub was wired to 4 Ohms after metering at 138.something last weekend. (sealed at the dash, TL). I rewired to 1 Ohm, and now I'm waiting on a new TL session with the IA 20.1 It is much louder. Hoping it will meter higher.
  11. I bought this amp for my installer with his money. He wants to send it, but he has been waiting so long to have his system complete, he would die without bass ! We don't know what to do, it's a new amplifier, under warranty. To save time we will certainly use fedex when we send it back.
  12. Yeah man. We're very disappointed. This amp is still under warranty. Shipping that bi...will cost an arm.
  13. For sure ! Something was broken inside from delivery. And that thing made a mess somewhere. When he opened the amp he used a wiper to try to clean the burning (black) part and the little thing went out. Since then, the fan is not working when amp is off. The amp never stopped working. the owner thinks the amp might not work as lond as it should. He's afraid of a future failure.
  14. run ported ! The BL is a great sub, and is accurate on music. A friend of mine is running 2 in a 4ft3 net enclosure on 3000 w : it's fantastic !!! You don't need to have the maximum/optimum volume to enjoy it. A 2 ft3 ported enclosure is enough and can fit in the trunk easily, usually, for a 12".
  15. Hi guys, I recently bought a NS-1 for my installer. The amp made a world trip before coming to my country (thanks USPS) but we got it right. From the beginning there was a noise like something was loose in the amp. We thought it was due to the fact that the amp is very long and there were not enough screws to hold the panel. One day he smelled something burning, but could not define where it was coming from : from the amp, from the car next to him that was like a smoke machine in the traffic jam,...? Amp never shut off to these days. Today he installed his 2nd btl , re-installed the amp, and had to open it because he realized the fan in the amp was running as soon as he hooked up the grounds. Voltage was not staying as usual when the car was off. He thought it could be the old Beeper alarm that was defective. He saw some places burnt in the amp, and a little screw (or piece of something) in it ! He called me, telling me after the first grounds, the fan was not running ! Let's hope everything will be OK ! I am sorry for him. He told me to ask you what could be the metallic noise he was hearing since he received the amp, and I always forgot to ask. (I don't know if it makes sense, hope you'll get it !) I'll let you know how it works. He's so disappointed. Did the amp got damaged during shipping (the box was good looking) or what else could happenend ? He had good voltage, even on his "weak" electrical : never under 13 v on peak, and usually 14.ish v. He never plays for long.
  16. They are very efficient, using Fedex. And the cost is not bad at all. But free shipping from the seller is intersting, to avoid double shipping costs. Black and Blue sale FTW !

I think I'l make the trip soon, for some shopping and some fun I'll let you know ! My good friend (my installer) has just reconed my btl n2 to 15". He will run 2 in his car on the NS-1. He's happy like a little boy !!! I will sell my DD9515 to get a 15" Zcon soon...I hope so I need to listen to that Jeep ! The subie was soooo impressive !
  18. Recone recived. Sub is OK now The new owner of this freshly reconed btl n2 15" will make it play today. He's happy like a kid ! He told me last night, on the phone, that he wanted to go to sleep early ...did not want to be awake to think about his install too much !!!!! Now, 10:00 AM, I'm sure he's already testing everything ! I'll let you know how it sounds : 2 n2 15" on a NS-1 in a very little car (Old Renault Clio).
  19. You will need a good enclosure to enjoy this sub. Be sure to build one that fits.

Hello Alain ! You're trying horns in the subie ? Good luck with that build. Need to keep up with the massive bass you have !
  21. Wow ! Makes me want to use a double din head unit ! But honnestly, in a small island like Martinique, Navigation is really not necessary. You did a nice job on a nice car
  22. That is a very big system for a first time competitor. Big system, big upgrades, big money. You have good equipments so far. Don't ruin it with poor mids & highs ! Do it right !! Good luck !
  23. You can try subs up and port back. Plenty of room in a Santa Fe:)
  24. On a few forums or facebook pages, people seems to disagree : they say that this 3db_by_doubling_power thing is wrong, and they can ear an increase in output with a more powerful amp. I've seen/read that a few times. Coming from "reputable & knowledegeable members" !!! It always surpises me Personnaly, I had a 1500 w Sundown amp that I changed for a 3000 w Sundown : no increase in my ears, so I sold the 3000 and put back the 1500 !
