Good idea, but I want it louder when it plays music too. Not only for TL scores !

The car :

I have an enclosure for a 15" Xcon, at home: 3.1ft3 at 33hz, with 2 4" aeroports firing to the side (17" long and flared at both ends). Do you think it's worth trying to fit the 12" in it ? What should be the results ? It is bigger than what Fi recommands for the 12".

Hello, I have a single BTL N2 12" D2, running on my saz 1500 at 1 Ohm. The box is 2.1 ft3 at 32 Hz, with a slot port. Port firing to the side of my truk. The car is a Toyota auris hatchback. On the TL I only scored 135.8 db sealed at the windshield, and I want higher numbers. It was at 58 Hz : I don't know why it was so high ! 138db with driver's side door open. What can I do ? I want a new box, but do I look for a bigger box, smaller box ? Do I need to have sub and port firing up ? I think I will try an higher tuning, like 34 Hz. Is it worth it ? I'm looking for suggestions. So I can ask a good box designer to work for me.

got to be patient with Fi ! If you knew how long I had to wait for my subs (twice, 2 separate orders),... Get ready to pay for the repair : no warranty on blew subs ! Sorry !!

If you plan to run more than one SA12, you will need an amplifier for the front speakers, or you will find them weak ! Follow Lithium advices pleeeaaase, and you will be happy. I've never liked any Infinity speaker, but it's just me. You may like them A 4 or 2 ch amp can be real cheap and fit your budget. You need one. You can buy used too.

It's really an 18" Icon ? The box does not look too big for an 18", even if it's sealed. Maybe you trunk is bigger than I think. Why not going ported ? BTW nice install ! I don't know where you put your left foot , but I did not see the final pics of your front stage. Dunno if you posted pics of it. I love the amp and processor install. Great work ! You got skillz bro !!!

The Icon is a fantastic driver for sure. Bbbuuuut, the Xcon is superior, in my opinion. If you have the money, get the Xcon ! 1500 w will be enough to make you feel happy !!! I'm in love with the Xcon, sorry !

The best thing to do is to go to some shop and try to listen to the most speakers you can. Tell us what you liked or not, and we'll see. Why do you need so much speakers. A single set of component speakers should be enough, unless you're going with several thousands watts for your bass ! Don't be cheap on the speakers ! and some deadener can help too, but you need a budget for that. Good luck !

don't desrtroy it with too much bass. 2 10"s should be enough ! And maybe some killer mids & highs for a really clean sound. Nice car, I like it !
