If the sub is brand new, let it some time to ...break in ! In a hatchback, try to have the sub firing up. It may be better ! My btl was surprisingly low when I first played with it. But it became normal a few hours of play later !

I could not find the answer using the search fonction. Sorry. Can I use the Alpine 9886 with the Alpine processor pxa h 701 without getting the "screen" remote( RUX something) ? A friend of mine already has the h u, and he just made a fantastic deal on the processor. He does not know how to run both ! He has the imprint processor but this new one seems way better. If he has to buy the remote, he will do it, but it would be great to just run bost equipment without anything more. Thanks for your help guys !

everybody can have his own opinion. Don't forget the SSA subs. With the power you have, you can run an Icon or even an Xcon. You'll love it . you seem to want loud and sound good : the xcon can be a very good choice. But I don't know nothing about the Diamond subs. I can't compare. Good luck !!!

Do the big3, maybe add a second battery in the rear. Put a voltmeter in to check your voltage. It will help you a lot.

Try another song ! I had a "problem" like this one when I received my sub. I was so scared ! and finally, it was the record I was testing with. I tried a test tone cd with all the bass notes, one by one, and never noticed any unwanted noise. Just an idea !

Do the big 3 and see if you need a second battery in the back. It could be fine ! My Toyota can handle this easily ! Even more with the second battery.
