How do they sound on different styles of music ? Not only on rap.

A smaller box, a single sub instead of 2 : I can understand what you want. A more functional car; lighter with a little room in the trunk. Go for it !!! But you will not be louder IMO.

If you're on a tight budget for the amp, you can buy used, or some cheaper (in price) brands like Audiopipe or Kenwood, or Clarion,...etc The Audiopipe 1500 or 1800 is under $200, and it will work ! Take a look at db-r.com for great deals on used Sundown too.

The Beyma looks huge ! Midbass or midrange ? We don't see DD builds very often here. Keep posting pics pleeeeaaaaaase !!!

Op, I had a 15" xcon and now I run a 12" btl. Both ported to 32Hz. A good friend of mine has 2 15" xcon in a small car ! I can tell you the btl N2 is a fantastic driver. I love mine. It is more ..."punchy" than the xcon ! The N2 plays music very well, better than I could imagine ! My friend with the 2 xcons want to try 2 N2 now ! But he doesn't want to sell his xcons !!! But honnestly, my dream set up would be 2 xcons or 2 btls on a 3500 watts amp. I don't need . Good luck ! both options are good, but the btls will be louder, and the xcons will play better. t

You should use your current amp. A btl don't need 2000 watts to play. Any power will make it move. Save some money until you can get a more powerful amplifier. But that AQ seems nice, like the DC or Crescendo amps. There are dozens of amps in the market. Just buy one that can fit in your budget.

Just do the big 3 and take out that cap. You may be fine without a secondary battery. For example : I added one HC 1200 in my trunk, and now I can listen to music with the car off, without voltage droping under 12.4 v ! With only the stock batt it would drop to 12 v very fast. I don't turn the volume high with engine off, maybe at half (20 on 40 on my Pioneer h u).

Those Crescendo amps look nice, the new DC amps too. Both are cheap, but I don't know if the Crescendo are out yet. The DC are available. Get that brz if you want OP. I'd rather get a Sundown, but they're a little more expensive. You should focus on getting and building the right box for your equipments AND for your car. That will make a HUGE difference.

You have room for one Xcon 15 ported or 2 Xcons 12 ported. You may want a little more power for the 12s. But 1500 watts ? That will be good for both options!.

I'm waiting on a saz 3000 from them ! Good communication so far. I cross my fingers.

If you have the money, get it , try it , and sell one ! But I think both are good amps.

You're going from 2 12s to a single one. Hum... But nice choice though. Here is another option : get 1 or 2 dcons and a monoblock amp. Some amps are not expensive at all. For the same budget you can get a 2nd one for your speakers. On the cheap : a 2 channel ampb for the front and you keep the rear speakers on the head unit. With a 5 channel, it will not be easy to upgrade anything. Just my 2 cents !
